The #1 thing that they need to do to help keep all of these fake cards out of the pipeline is to have a massive checklist that will actually have scans of the finished card. Look at how many of the fake Contenders that are popping up on eBay. They at least need to do it for all hits or for inscriptions and low #'d stuff. This is a MUST for all of the high end stuff like NT and 5 Star. They know what goes into the packs and need to help us keep the integrity of the hobby at a high standard. All of the fakes out there bring down the value of the real stuff. Kinda sucks that someone has to tape themselves breaking boxes just in case you hit a killer card just so you can prove that it is real.
