Are you kidding ? Granted none of us are scouts here but come on.
If someone said Malkin or Stamkos are both better than Backstrom they really wouldn't have to argue that much would they ? Backstrom is very good but he's not even in the conversation for the games current best player.
I mean really, off the top of my head I can name five that are better players than Backstrom : Datsyuk, Malkin, Stamkos, Giroux, Tavares.
Now, while we're at it, if you want to talk about up and coming young stars you can start with Jordan Eberle who is quietly putting up some numbers in Edmonton this year.
