He's a baseball manager, not a politician. It was a dumb thing to say but it's not like he has a lot of pull in US foreign policy. He's also said the same thing before, I think it was in GQ. They ought to have known what they were getting.
OTOH, since it's the Marlins suspending him and not MLB I have no problem with it. They can do whatever they want, he's their employee.
