my step father has a 1967 Firebird with the 326 h.o. and 4-speed in his basement waiting for restoration.
In the garage they have a 2012 Mustang GT convertible.
The mustang is way faster but in this case, I'd rather have the firebird (besides, I've got a 5.0 in my F150, in a couple years it may get a blower...so ~600hp at the wheels)
Oh, and FWIW, Ford's ecoboost can be a real sleeper. F150 guys are gaining 100+hp at the wheels from a tune, intake and exhaust...3.5l, 400+hp and wicked torque. I imagine some of the ecoboost car guys are seeing similar results.
