What I think is even cooler than just a plain signature is when Japanese players sign normally with the Kanji instead of their "English" signatures. Darvish isn't allowed to write his name formally in Japanese because his name is not Japanese, so he always just writes in katakana I think. But I got Hisashi Iwakuma and Kyuji Fujikawa this year and they both wrote differently because I had Japanese cards of them to sign. Iwakuma even put his Japanese number instead of his Mariners #
