First off, welcome to the board. And yes, a sticker auto is where a player signs A LOT of sheets of stickers, and the company takes those stickers and affixes them to the card when it has been created. A cheaper, and faster way to get a card autographed.
For me, a "hard signed" card is always better, but I do not complain about the stickers. However, it seems like the higher end products should be hard signed.

The more I think about it, the more I am starting to look down on signed sticker sheets. It is certainly cheaper to produce and it removes us collectors from the players by a little bit. We are all collectors/fans because we want to somehow feel some sort of connection to those athletes we watch and root for.
