Do you use them to dictate spacing, yes?

Also, can you add payment deadlines (as they are created) to the table? That way I know exactly where to go to see the new deadline?

Thanks!
Oh it's an ugly mess when I click 'edit'. I had all of the info typed up in notepad, then copied and pasted it into CODE tags. I could not neatly paste straight from Excel. Here's what a mess it is when I edit it. I have to add 6 spaces between each 'x' to get them properly spaced. (now with the due dates I add 11 spaces)

That's a good idea to add in the deadlines, I'll work on that now. It would be really nice if Blowout's implementation of Vbulletin supported using tables. That would make my life easy.

Feel free to steal it

Okay, we may have some non-members bid on some teams in the next few months. Just wanted to give everybody a heads-up.

You mean pick up the unclaimed teams or just bid on them on a month by month basis?

Some people have shown interest in just bidding, and may claim them down the road. Honestly, by not claiming a team, it puts them at a disadvantage. They don't get to vote on any products!

Would the teams be available to the members to bid on first and then if no bids be opened to outsiders? Would we require a member to pick up the team for the rest of the year if they win the same more than twice?

My votes: Gypsy Queen, Bowman Jumbos.

A: No, the most $$ wins.

Would we require a member to pick up the team for the rest of the year if they win the same more than twice?

A: I like this rule a lot.

My votes: Gypsy Queen, Bowman Jumbos.

Marked your votes down.

Gypsy Queen is the winner for April

Mr. Tyler,

Can I please change my vote for May to Archives instead of Bowman?

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Here is the thing with that though...

I pay $45 a month for the Rays. However, if we use this new system, I could just drop the Rays and bid for them every month. I am confident I could win them every month at much less than $45.

Of course, I run the risk that someone else could pick them up - granted - but keeping them at $45 is an act of will.

I think we run the risk of removing a lot of the incentive to join the club by allowing outsiders to bid on teams. I am sure it will raise revenue some - but it will create a real sour taste in my mouth the first time someone not in the club hits a case hit for a one-time bid.

I say no outside bids.

What about in the event no one bids on the teams? I agree with you on that, this became clear to me last year when we were ending the year. The bids for the unclaimed teams were a steal and most owners couldn't bid on them since they had $45 that they had to cover for their PC team.

I was thinking though if we could open it up to outsiders if the team goes unclaimed.

Let's hear some more feedback on this outside members thing.

If everyone agrees that only teams with no bids by members can go to outsiders, then so be it!

I say if the team goes unclaimed then either:

The unclaimed hits get randomed amongst any full priced team without a hit.

or

The unclaimed team cards get rolled over to next month and you bid on these cards plus whatever else may come.

Totally agree with this assessment as I was thinking of doing the same thing with the Reds.

I'm okay with non members getting to bid on the unclaimed teams but think it should only be after the members pass on that team in that break. Otherwise, to Houdini's point, we run the risk of the group breaking down because people could drop out and only bid on their team in the breaks they want.

Also, I am only in favor of the proposed rule where after claiming a team twice, you own them for non group members. If the bidding on unowned teams is to raise extra revenue, i personally would be less likely to bid on these teams if i would potentially end up owning one of them even though i don't want them all year.

I agree with Houdini but i would take it a step further in my opinion only 6-9 teams would keep there teams the rest would drop and bid by month and get the team/teams they wanted at a great price. No outside bids unless they belong to the group

Looks pretty unpopular. Let's just stick to our original format.

only my two cents...no outsiders.. random or do whatever with the unclaimed hits within members and sell me the unclaimed base..

Sorry, I'm late to the discussion. I too am in favor of keeping the teams inside the club, having the Royals, I bid on other teams to get hits from products that feature stars from yesteryear such as Tribute and Gypsy Queen and at that point would be beneficial to me to drop Royals and just bid on teams.
