I fired flares, bat signals, and tried the PM route with no luck. In any case, Guru, you can have my other slot...I'll PM you my payment info.

What I'll do is hold my numbers through Thursday's payment deadline...in the event everyone pays, jpitten/nbalinks will get my 1st slot and guru can have my second slot. If someone doesn't pay, they'll slide into the respective slots...a nice alternative vs. having to hold up the random in case we have a few non-payers.

Also, I made payment in full to Blowout today, so everything will be in MN on Friday! Once the random is done, let's try to move the draft along as quick as possible (vs. waiting the full four hours to wheel and deal on your slot).

Thanks guys!
Thanks for letting us in. My half of the payment has been sent!

Thanks again!

It doesn't look like we're going to have any backup slots - HOWEVER - I *might* consider running this again...going to see how this first round goes. There might be a few changes to it to bring the price down a little, too (maybe splitting out the Nationals into two slots (2010 Nationals and 2011 Nationals...maybe dropping a case or two...we'll see how it goes!).

Thanks to everyone who has got their payments in quickly! Four and a half payments left to go w/deadline tomorrow at noon ET. I've already heard from raidersfan1983 and tiger221166 that they are paying tomorrow...my guess is that hmmdecloth and joserobles are soon behind...and then a half-slot payment from jpitten who I haven't heard from yet. If this were paid today, I wouldn't doubt we could get the random done today, but I know that's a little bit of a stretch being payments would have to all be receiving in the next few hours. Definitely tomorrow night though!

Thanks - I'll update the OP that you're planning on paying today. I can send over the $$$ from the Houdini-break deal, but since you'd be sending it right back my way, it doesn't really make sense to send it to you (we can both save on fees). Feel free to just send $270 instead of $300 and we'll be even. Thanks!

In hindsight, this is a great idea.

I spent a little time last night creating a draft list. If we divided the Nats into two slots ('10 and '11), they'd probably still be the top two picks.

It's probably too late to split the Nats and package two of the garbage teams into one slot. I like the idea for the next draft, though.

Hmmdecloth paid and we are now officially all paid up! Woo Hoo! I'll confirm the list with Danny @ Blowout. Be sure to tune in for the live random tomorrow night at 5pm ET on Blowout's BlogTV page:

http://www.blogtv.com/People/BlowoutTV

Danny will be recording the randomization as well for those who cannot watch it live. The draft will start immediately after the random.

I'm going to shorten up the clock to TWO HOURS PER PICK - this is PLENTY of time to make your selection. I am not in the break anymore, so feel free to send me a pre-rank list for your pick if you don't think you'll be around to select your team. The sooner we get the draft done, the sooner we can start opening the cases!

Yeah, for this break, we're still keeping the Nats as one spot!

Lookin' forward to the random! Good luck everyone!

I would drop the Topps Chrome and add something with a shot at HOF stuff, that will add much more value to some of the bad prospect spots. All Topps Chrome gives is more prospect autos, but its not really the rookie card we want.

I agree about dropping topps chrome. what about getting a few boxes of Sterling? not as many cards, but definitely a bigger chance of a big hit.

per the host's post above, I think he's already ordered the cases so they'd arrive by tomorrow, so it's probably a moot point. I think you guys have a good idea though, for future breaks--maybe Marquee might be an alternative, some better hits for less prospect-y teams.

we are talking about his next break as dan had inquired about what we would like to see in the next one!

Yeah - we could definitely try a case of Triple Threads or a few boxes of Topps Sterling or Bowman Sterling or something. I'll see what I can put together for the next big one. The Bowman / Bowman Draft / Bowman Chrome as a "genre" or similar group of cards that people collect is always really popular though...so while this is very prospect/rookie heavy, that's part of the major intent, too.

Random is just minutes away! I'm going to try watching on my iPhone app (firewall blocked at work):
