Also, what gets me about the tier system is that a nice hit will come for any team, regardless how currently "hot" they are. Also, let's say one month someone gets Panthers and Pats while someone else gets Browns and Jets. Then that month we pull a Colt McCoy auto /10 and/or a Mark Sanchez 1/1. You just never know what team will have the hits and there would be the differences of opinion concerning who is "tier one" and who is "tier two".

I like the thought of keeping it fresh. We can mainly go with team draft, then one month just random all teams to everyone and they get two each. Or maybe even some month we will come up with a different idea. The main thing is to have fun with this and everything will always be up to you, the participants.

I think my feedback is ok now. I've entered a group break before about 2-3 months ago even though I didn't get any hits.

If we're doing 16 spots, I think we have a majority of people so what do you say we start talking about what boxes to break open and from what year? Epix($55) has always been good to me and so has crown royale($59). I also like 2010 limited($64). '11 Certified is decent($85) and so is '11 Threads($70).

With limited being only 1 pack with 7 or 8 cards maybe its not the best choice, although the hits are most of the time better. Boxes with larger quantities of packs would probably be the best way to go

Hey guys. HOW BOUT THIS... i was in a break. if we do a team draft whoever gets draft spot #1 or #32 whatever the group feels good with. that person picks the boxes for our month within the price range??

also i think stuff like limited, supreme, plates and patches etc. would be some of the best choices to get some awesome highend hits for a lowend break. not to mention that if you dont get something why not have MITM do something like the next month there is no shipping charge if you dont get something or want cards held since you already paid shipping the month before.

elaborate on the snake draft.....

a snake draft is like a normal team draft but with 2 picks per person goes like this

you start at spot #1 and go to #16 (1st person picks to 16th person picks)

then after 16 picks they get another one at pick #17. pick #15 also gets pick #17 and so on.

works out so that the picks are divided as even as possible. pick #1 in the draft also gets pick #32 which would be the last team available. so they get the best team in theory and the worst. and 16 wouldnt be stuck with all the bad stuff

omahacolts: I've got you down for two. Really see no issue with that.

So at this point we have two pressing issues to figure out:

1) Should we go predominately snake team draft or random teams. Whichever one is the odd man out we could do once every six months or so. I am leaning more towards going random teams for the most part. It would help the breaks run a lot smoother. There would be less wait time for a break to start as we would have to keep waiting for everyone to make their picks and not everyone is always on at the same time so that could be time consuming.

2) Will people be wanting their base cards? Or just inserts/numbered/hits? Thoughts on this appreciated.

I think a snake draft would give the most fair opportunity to members but some dont get it from what im seeing so i think a random would be fine

I would also say from past exPerience send all base unless people ask you not to.

Also maybe hold shipments for a month taking off shipping for the next month if people wAnt shipments held for small amounts of cards/ no cards

The other issue is how we gonna decide what product to bust? There only seems to be 5 or so of us who are talking about it so it's gonna be hard to decide

I really don't think automatically sending base would be best. Any money I save from shipping will just be put back into the breaks, so that you all can have more product.

For that I am figuring each month members will be welcome to produce ideas with the money we have. Then I will post a poll or take votes and as of a certain date and time which ever option has the most votes is what we will go with that month.

Why not do something like i suggested where a random member chooses our boxes each month. Or mitm could just choose

Holdimg shipments could also help with more money. I honestly think we should do a break like limited, plates and patches, supreme, ultimate something like that as part of the breaks each month since they offer great opportunities for the low cost. I lile certified every year too as it is usually not bad for the cost

I think the snake draft would be the most fair way to pick teams. Random all of our names a few times to make the draft order and then #1 pick gets #32 as well #2 gets #31 and so on...That way no one can really complain about the teams they get because they chose them.

Edit- I'm not sure if this is a given either but I think we should break all the boxes at the same time during the month so you only have to ship once at most. I personally would not want you to waste shipping one month on me to send me base and numbered cards

Funny you say that. Noticing we were 1 short I had the thought of joining myself. I PMed Robert to make sure it's ok for me to join my own break. So I just might be taking that last spot if it's allowed.

Let's go ahead and start producing product packages for the first month. Please present what you think would be a good way to start this thing off.

I don't have any problem with you taking the spot obviously. It would make the breaking more fun for you since the hits could be yours! What was our final verdict on the spending limit? $270?
