MITM's Monthly Break Club

I have been wanting to run group breaks for awhile now, but wanted to wait till the right time. I wanted to solidify trust and friendship in the community. Recently many members have been vocal about wanting to get together a cheap monthly group break of around $15-20. I feel the time is right and it would be a lot of fun.

This will be football only.

Please let me know if you would like to join and we can get a group together and hammer out the details of how we want to do this.

$25 per slot with 2 teams each slot. We will random draft order and select our own teams via a snake draft.

An idea we have would be having 32 participants- one per each NFL team. Or we could do 16 and everyone gets two teams.

If the money were to allow, it would make sense to break a case some months. Multiple random boxes other months. Again this stuff is open to conversation as I want everyone's input on what they would like to do.

I'm down for busting random, multiple boxes a month or whatever. Maybe a case every few months if money allows. I know theres 32 teams so 32 people would seem feasible but also with it being a monthly break(hopefully) it would seem hard to rely on the same 32 people month after month. 16 people would seem ideal so everyone gets 2 teams, but then that only allows for $320 a month to spend which isnt much. I dotn know. Lets open up a discussion about this. The break is a good idea and hope it works for us all

Yea I think we start planning out what we want to do before too many people join. 16 members/2 teams each/$320 a month or 32 members/1 team each/$640 a month

Personally I think I would rather do the 16 members but it's up to the group obviously

i think 16 is fine just the $320 part is what i also go back to. cant afford more than $20 a month though. and you guys gotta factor in the shipping/supplies/fees to it.

$20 in paypal- $19.12 w/ fees
shipping w/ PP labels for a 3 oz package= $1.64
supplies= aprox $10 for all members combined per month

would leave us with 15.88 per member for boxes= $254.08 to spend on boxes a month w/ 16 members

What if we bumped it up to $25 or $30 a month? Is that going to high? I know its about doign it on the cheap but bumping up the price a little will enable MITM to run a smaller, more reliable break. At $25 thats $400 a month to spend, or $30 thats $480 and thats with running 16 members. I'd like to do 16 members but its up to everyone else as well.

I would want cases rather than boxes but with what we're paying monthly wouldn't allow that.

youre not factoring in the fees, shipping, and supplies to those spending totals .

for people like me moving it up is a little too high but i think $25 could possibly be good if we can get enough people that want to do it

I know I'm not factoring in fees, I'm just doing it as a quick guess. My bad. I know that'll leave us less to work with after fees and supplies and all. Hoping it doesnt turn into a fight amongst everyone,lol. If we gotta do 32 then lets do 32 and see how it turns out.

i actually think 16 would work better from my experience in the past. i was in a $10 basketball one with 30 teams left us with that $250 mark for boxes and it was a great club. no cases or super highend stuff but if you think about it we can still do alot of stuff just not like exquisite, 5 star, or NT

32 would be our best bet if we want to do any case breaks but even with 32 we would need to put a little each month back to afford a decent case every 3rd or 6th month. Or even a multiple case break or numerous boxes this time next year right before the Super bowl if we just did about 75% of our monthly dues each month in breaks.

there's no doubt we can do some nice breaks. Crown royale, epix(my fav) gridiron gear, threads....there's definitely enough choices. Hope this works out for everyone. Look forward to getting this done

I would definitely rather do 16. Better chances at hits for everyone and you can still get a few nice boxes for that price. We could do the two-tiered team system

And we'd actually have about $270 to spend with 16 which isn't bad at all. I think the math was a little off before...

$20 minus paypal fees $19.12
shipping $1.64 a person
Supplies $10 total or $.63 a person

19.12-1.64-.63= $16.85 per person x 16 people = $269.60 a month for boxes

oh yeah bucksman is right. it would probably have to be a random team each month type of thing. we have commits with no teams taken and no order to etablish teams to be taken so we couldnt do a 2 tiered where everyone chooses but we can do a 2 tiered with randoms for each tier matching up
