Default 08 Allen&Ginter Case Break

I'm new to A&G cards so I took my time with it. I had preordered a case from Blowout using Cashback and it was kind of an impulse buy. Anyways, after a bunch of hours here's the damage in general:

Lance Berkman and Jim Thome Rip Cards (Both /99)-unripped as of now

Moises Alou Black Printing Plate (my first ever plate)
Ray Durham Cloth 5/10

Autos
  • 3(!!) Fausto Carmona
  • Andre Ethier
  • Geoff Jenkins
  • Brian Bannister
  • Ian Kinsler

Relics
  • Jeff Fenech (Boxing Trunks)
  • 6 Bat Chip Cards
  • 21 Jersey Cards

Minis
  • Ryan Garko Bazooka Back
  • Nick Markakis (No#)
  • Jose Vidro (No#)
  • Miguel Cabrera (No#)
  • 30 Black Bordered (Got some cool non-baseball ones)
  • 5 Sharks
  • 5 Baseball Icons
  • 2 Team Orange
  • 12 Ginter Code Event Cards
  • 6 World Icons
  • 1 Pioneers of Aviation
  • 25 World's Leaders
  • 62 A&G Back

I've listed my totals to help us all get a sense of how difficult certain cards are. The case breaks I've found so far are really varied.

The frustrating thing is so many of the G/U cards and Autos are Z-List. I know A&G seems like it sells itself because so many people collect it, but they could make it all the much better.

yeah after a while

Dimitri Young Bats
Adam Dunn/Todd Helton/Victor Martinez Jerseys get repetitive

maybe also if they offered dual autographs like 1:18 box's that would be awesome. Like a Ken Griffey/Adam Dunn dual on-card would be good.

A-Rod/Jeter Dual auto would be cool also

Damn, just made the mistake of doing the rip cards. I figured the Berkman had something good as the card had all types of marks on it, looked like wax stains, lol. It yielded a Matt Holiday ext mini. Then of course I HAD to rip the Thome one and got a Miguel Cabrera ext mini. Doooh! I'll be thinking this break was spectacular after The Cup kicks the hell out of me...

A&G isn't a product to rip for the autos/gu. if you hit a nice one, then it's just extra gravy.

Yeah starting to see that now. First time I ever opened a box was this year. After I was done..was questioning all the hype. Starting to see that set builders/collectors really like this stuff.

If you want to move the Fenech please name your price (PM). I am one of those guys who will try to complete the Boxing relic set. I already picked up 2 and am looking for a few more. Thanks in advance,JK
