Case of Topps Sterling coming tonight

UPS doesn't come until around 6. I'm Mr. Mom tonight so I might just open the outer boxes to see my players and think about it until tomorrow night.

Should I stop to get a "postal scale"?!

Send them over to me. I will way them for you with my new handy dandy USPS postal scale!!!

I have saved $0.18 on each package that I've shipped out since i got it!!!

That adds up in the long run.

I know this has been talked about before, but now with the 10 box case dropping below 2k, isnt this a sure win to buy? Dont most boxes sell between 200-250 with SP's higher?

alot of the boxes are going under $100.00

Well the UPS man must have f'ed up. My tracking shows that he tried to deliver at 7 something and there wasn't anyone available for a signature. I was home ALL NIGHT!!! Guess tonight is the night.

This is when I get right on the phone and find out what happened. I've had them send the driver back out (my guess is they contacted him and he was running late and never attempted to make the delivery). Good luck today if it comes!

Actually Texasfan there are several players whose box doesn't make it to $100 on ebay and a bunch more that go for the 100- 175 range. It seems like only the best of the SP's go for more than $200. Mystery packs seem to bring in a decent amount but not enough to make up for the low box price. It seems like a couple people on here got lucky with quite a few sp's in their case. Anyway, hopefully UPS shows up today and good luck with your case. I'll be watching.

That's my guess too. He always comes between 5-6. After 6 I was wondering what time the stop delivering. There wasn't a note on my door either, which there always is if they stop and no one is home.

Same exact thing happened to my on my first 2 cases. I called the UPS and they said they would call the driver and he would deliver that day, then they called back an hour later and they said he already returned to the center and they would deliver Monday...man I was pissed. 2 Years in a row I ordered Sterling a year before and it didn't come until the following year.

Not surprised the cases are going for under 2K now, I added up the sales for the individual boxes and mystery packs and they only added up to close to 2K...before ebay fees.

Good Mix of players. I'd be selling the SP's, then maybe taking my chances on the other boxes, Would figure the Berra is worth selling, Schmidt (given your in PA, this may just be more treasured), Sandberg. Murrary could be a toss up (O's have nice patches)...I still think the only way to make money on this is to sell the myserty packs sealed, then sell the player boxes sealed..but even thats a toss up. There's probably enough on the market now that odds could be calculated as to who has the higher print run on autos.

Not bad? The Williams and Cobb alone bring you $700. You should open the mystery packs, they jumbo patches sell where along with the other cards. And you only got 1 "bad" box in the Gibson pretty good case.

Opened the Gibson and got a 1/1 Quad Auto. It's on ebay along with most of the boxes.

The Gibson boxes have been selling for between 60-90 so I took the chance. Have an offer of $109 for the 1/1 now.
