Baseball 2011 Topps Chrome 5 cases 60 Hobby Boxes
We had a large group break here on Blowout recently. We pulled 129 autos plus tons of color. There are videos.
This break was a really big success. So much so that we are running it again. Here are the autos broken down: 33 Danny Espinosa AUTO 4 base 170 Eric Hosmer RC AUTO 1 base 171 Tsuyoshi Nishioka AUTO 0 172 Brandon Belt AUTO 3 base 2 blue 1 gold 173 Freddie Freeman AUTO 1 base 2 black 174 Michael Pineda AUTO 3 base 1 ref 1 blue 175 Ben Revere RC AUTO 2 base 1 ref 1 gold 176 Brandon Beachy RC AUTO 4 base 1 ref 178 Mark Trumbo RC AUTO 1 base 1 sepia 180 Hank Conger RC AUTO Listed/None Pulled 0 181 Jake McGee RC AUTO 1 base 1 ref 182 J.P. Arencibia AUTO 3 base 183 Jordan Walden AUTO 3 base 184 Eric Sogard AUTO 1 base 1 blue 186 Domonic Brown RC AUTO Listed/None Pulled 0 188 Alexi Ogando RC AUTO 3 base 2 ref 190 Ivan DeJesus Jr RC AUTO 3 base 1 ref 1 black 191 Andrew Cashner AUTO 2 base 2 ref 1 blue 193 Darwin Barney RC AUTO 3 base 1 ref 1 blue 195 Craig Kimbrel AUTO 5 base 1 ref 197 Julio Teheran RC AUTO 5 base 1 ref 198 Eduardo Nunez AUTO 3 base 1 ref 1 sepia 200 Jeremy Hellickson RC AUTO Listed/None Pulled 0 203 Brett Wallace RC AUTO Listed/None Pulled 0 205 Chris Sale AUTO 3 base 1 ref 1 sepia 207 Alex Cobb RC AUTO 3 base 1 gold 214 Brent Morel AUTO 2 base 2 ref 1 black 1 blue 215 Kyle Drabek AUTO 2 base 216 Zach Britton AUTO 6 base 217 Mike Minor AUTO 4 base 1 atomic 218 Hector Noesi AUTO 4 base 1 ref 1 black 1 sepia 219 Carlos Peguero AUTO 3 base 220 Aaron Crow AUTO 3 base 2 ref 1 blue Case 1 USA Redemptions/Autos 4 (ref nonauto, base auto, ref auto, blue auto) Case 2 USA Redemptions/Autos 2 (blue nonauto, base auto) Case 3 USA Redemptions/Autos 1 (base auto) Case 4 USA Redemptions/Autos 2 (base auto, ref auto) Case 5 USA Redemptions/Autos 0 total 129 autos 81 base autos 19 ref autos 5 black ref atos 8 blue ref autos 4 sepia ref autos 3 gold ref autos 1 atomic ref auto Here are the recap videos 1 per case: Case 1 Case 2 Case 3 Case 4 Case 5 My take: This is a great break and I would run it again and again. There is more color than 2010 by a large margin and the USA redemptions fell frequently 9 in 5 cases. There are a few things that I did not like though. Remember this line from the sales sheet regarding the black refractors? Quote:
Instead of having 1 blue refractor to /299, they exchanged it for 3 different refractors: sepia /99, blue /99, and black /100. I am glad because it adds more color but I kind of feel cheated too. We hit 28 blue refractors and 25 of them were for cards 1110... the other 3 were 111220. That is too wide a gap to be an aberration over 5 cases. It must be by design. Were most of the 111220 blue refractors held out for retail maybe? This was the only color that behaved this way. This is an easy break. There are only 98 cards per box and only 220 cards per base set. Very easy to manage and very easy to sort. Less than 6000 cards. The base player lots averaged 23 cards each. There was 1 player that only had 17 cards (John Jaso) and there were 3 players with 27. This does not count colored refractors just base, ref, and atomic refractor. Refractors. There is a list of color below. EVERY player had at least 1 refractor with most having 2 or 3. About 40% had an atomic refractor /225. Heritage. We hit about $80 to $100 worth of Heritage inserts each case. We averaged 2 black refractors /62 each. Tools for other breakers:

I agree. I have seen a lot of group breaks but I have never done one or been a part of one. Your break downs are always the best and most thorough. If I ever decide to be a part of a group break, I know who it will be with. What baseball product are you doing next?
