Went to the lcs today and got 2 packs of american heritage and got this.

Not bad. I picked up a blaster of this stuff and got two chrome cards and thats it!...so this is good!

I definitely will. Funny thing about this set. I live in a city named Fremont which was named after a man by the name of John C. Fremont. We have annual celebrations called "John C. Fremont" Days. There is a card of him in the set. I was totally surprised when I saw the card. Never gave it a thought that he would be in there...kinda cool, I guess.

I pulled that same card out of my box. Decided to add it to my PC because when I was in high school I went to Boston and did a tour of this ship, nicknamed "Old Ironsides."

I wonder what the wood is from though. The ship is still in working order so maybe it is from a plank that was repaired or something.

yeah, it is really interesting which people they decided to include (or not include) in the set (and most historical-oriented sets). Supposedly there's going to be a Series II of American Heritage...it's going to be cool to see who'll be in that.

I heard the same thing. It's kind of fun to look at these and learn a little about some of the subjects in the set. Topps did well on this set, IMO.
