Yeah, however in those boxes that return 10 bucks, there are also other boxes that return 4 figures. At least you have a CHANCE at making a few bucks.

Well said.As hard as it is for seemingly 90% of collectors to believe anymore, there are those out there such as myself that collect for fun.Several years ago I went to some auction and bid on a couple binders of cards just to go through them and bring back some fun memories.Cards I got probably wasn't worth what I gave, but I enjoyed going through cards I grew up collecting.

I didn't expect such a negative response from this. Just wanted to share what I picked up and it does bring back memories of what collecting cards used to be. Now a days, it's more of a gamble than ever before.

If you had $90 of fun, then that's the important thing.

The negative comments are just regarding whether you got $90 of value, which unless there's some hidden gem in there, I think most of us would agree you did not. I'll be honest--I took my collection that had many of the same cards you scanned to the dump because it had so little value and took up too much space.

But if you really don't care about that, then more power to you and glad you enjoyed yourself

Of course I care about value and admit that my collection currently takes up too much space and needs to go. I've told myself way to many times to focus on high end product only for that very reason. I don't know what I'll get for this but something is better than nothing.

My only concern if this is real or not is at the end of the first page with that spread of cards. Why would you cover up a Frank Thomas/Robin Ventura 1993 Upper Deck Teammates Southside Sluggers Base Parallel and instead showcase a 1989 Score Steve Sax?!?!? Not too mention the Craig Biggio rookie and Cal Ripken Jr./Brady Anderson Iron & Steal card!

AGAIN, you all ASSume that he is in this hobby just to make a buck. I don't buy cards for their resale value, I buy them because I want to COLLECT them (imagine that). I doubt I'd pay $90 for what he's listed, but I'm not going to make fun either. Those are the kind of lots I look for when I'm at a flea market or yard sale.

When we were kids we had a blast going to flea markets and yard sales looking for cards.Once, I even set up my own table to sell some cards I didn't want so I could snag a Jordan baseball SP card.Fun times.

This reminds me of a funny story. In 1991, my grandmother decided to stockpile baseball cards because HSN said they were a great investment. She went out to Murphy's (now defunct) and bought a case of 1991 Fleer. If you think you got good value for $90, maybe you can buy my case of 1991 Fleer for $90 bucks!
