Arrow Topps Sterling 2 Case Break

Ok, got my two cases from Blowout today and I'm only through 1 case so far.

Out of the 10 boxes, I decided to open 7 of them and sell the other unopened. I also don't open the Mystery Packs b/c I sell them sealed. I decided not to open Mike Schmidt, Justin Morneau (which was hard since I'm a JM collector), and Bob Gibson. Based on the case seeding, I know 2 of those are auto relics but I don't know which ones.

I opened and pulled the following...

Might be hard to see, but the Nolan Ryan is my 1/1 from the case. I plan to put a BIN/BO on it but don't know what kind of starting price. Any thoughts?

I thought the Bonds was a little underwhelming.

Case 2 will be broken in a little bit.

Is there only one 1/1 per case?

Yeah, as far as I know.

According to the Topps advertising:
EVERY 10-BOX CASE OF TOPPS STERLING CARDS GUARANTEES:
* A One of One Letter Patch card
* A One of One Relic, One of One Autographed Relic, or One of One parallel card

Default So...

1 of the remaining 3 boxes from that case should have a 1/1 Letter Patch. Tempting...

Best Always,
Vinny

Right, the letter patches are only in the Mystery Packs and I have all 10 of those sitting aside unopened.

The only other 1/1 Ryan on ebay right now is at a $999 BIN/BO so I will put it on under that.

Ouch not that good of a case. Though you can prob get $400 for the Ryan and $150 for the Mantle I don't think the others will sell above $100. How much do you sell the mystery packs for?

Default 2nd Case

As with the first case I only opened certain boxes out of the second case. I left a David Wright, Manny, Gwynn, and Yaz box unopened. I also opened a couple of the Mystery Packs this time and hit the letter patch and I'm wishing I hadn't opened it.

The Bonds 1/1 is very nice. I love the piece of the Bonds 25 logo in the bottom middle panel. Another Wang, which is good since those will sell nicely.

But on the letter patch....who at Topps thinks that Chris Ianetta deserves to be in this product??? ha ha!

I think you did great, considering that the Wang's sell for a great amount and that Bonds 6 piece patch 1/1 is jaw dropping...congrats!

Thanks. I am actually really pleased with both cases. I think the Wangs, both Ryans, both Mantles, and the Bonds 1/1 will sell well. If they sell well enough, I'll get to keep the Santana and the Morneau.

The only one I'm really irritated about is the Iannetta patch. I mean.....come on! On the back it says "...from the game-worn jersey of Chris Iannetta, star catcher of the Colorado Rockies". That might be a stretch.

ya with all the big name guys in this set you could have at least expected Todd Helton or Holliday ha, but still should be a $60-$100 card if not more

definitely can't go wrong with two Wang autos. GL on your sales.

I hate Bonds but even I would like to pull a card that looks like that- Thanks for the scans-

Looks like a good break but depending on what you end up ith as far as sales go will determine how goiod it really was

Just my insight but I don't think it was that great of a case. 1 8 peice Wang Auto sold for $350 buy it now, and he got 2 bad Mantles. Depending on how much you sell the mystery packs will determine how decent the case pull was. I see you have a bunch of them listed on ebay, good luck man.

Crash- Those 1/1s are some really nice looking cards. That Ryan is one of the best cards Topps probably ever made. I hope they fetch you some decent money on fleabay.

last time I checked $350 for a wang auto jersey was pretty good, saying the boxes are $235 Id say he made money on that box out of the case along with the mantle ryans and bonds

Yeah, I'm real happy with the stuff I pulled. I think the boxes I'll sell unopened and the unopened Mystery Packs will level everything out. Hopefully, I can get some good coin out of the bigger pulls so I can keep the Santana and whatever is in the Morneau box for my own PC.
