2012 Ginter replacement "hit"

I was short a hit so sent all documents into Topps. Good news only took 3 weeks for replacement "hit" to arrive. Bad news, was a David Wright framed mini. Wasn't expecting anything major, but maybe something at least worth the postage I spent.

With that, that box was one of the worse I ever busted. Lost about 95% on it.

Once and a while Topps will replace an unsigned redemption with something nice but they will NEVER EVER EVER EVER replace missing hits with ANYTHING worth even selling on eBay.

Upper Deck was MUCH better with this.

That's because Topps knows a huge percentage of the "missing hit claims" are made up, so of course they are sending out sub $1 cards, it is the only way to stay in business when you get 10k+ submisssions a month for missing hits.

I am not saying you made this up at all chadj88, because of course Topps has missing hits, but too many "kids" nowadays when they don't pull a bryce harper or whoever is hot that day, they claim they are missing hits.

I've got plenty of solid replacement cards from missing hits from Topps and I know there are plenty of other folks who have as well.

Topps isn't perfect but all in all they've but completely fair with me in replacing missing hits and damaged cards. Sometimes I've had to send replacement cards back if they weren't fair but I've always found in the end if I was polite and cool about it I've been done right.

When UD had issues with SP Authentic missing the auto patch rookie cards in 2008 I think they really took care of people. I was sent 2 Ray Rice auto patches for my 2 boxes missing the hits. Topps I dont think cares to much. They figure why bother since they basically have a monopoly with the MLB cards. Maybe Panini will take some of that away from them but it isnt looking good

Right they NEVER do this

....We were missing a rip card and got a Jason Heyward rip to replace it. Selling for $80.

I don't understand the complaint here. The David Wright is probably better that 75% of the relics in the product.

My replacement hit was a Bobby Abreu relic. Gonna be able to retire early off of that one.
