What color is on that swatch??

Any uniform that Gherig would have ever worn could have had a maximum of two colors...

Throw that sucker up on ebay and then go buy yourself a handful of PC cards. That will fetch crazy money on the bay. 7 day auction starting at a penny and sit back and enjoy

Does it say that it was worn in any particular game? Otherwise I wonder if it could have been from something like an old-timers game or the like.

Wow what a sick pull. But with that 1933 Ruth pulled from golden age possibly being fake, you never know. I would sell now!

Yeah, but don't think it was from an old-timer's game (he died at 37) and he was not physically able to play by the time he quit IIRC.

But did he do any exhibition games with the Yankees? Not sure if they were still doing that when he played.

Forgot about the age part, but an exhibition/barnstorming game could be it. Hope that you can get an answer out of the mfg.

I don't think it's a Gehrig patch...

Amazing hit.

Why don't you call Panini and ask them? I mean, that must be one of their most significant cards from the set, I'm sure they have the background info.

No?

they did do some barnstorming....a "Larrupin Lous" patch would be pretty cool

sadly I dont think the patch is real... NOT SAYING it didnt come out of the pack like that

just saying it's not a GEHRIG patch..

like they put the wrong swatch in there... sad... cause it's a great card

Nice detective work. It'd be a shame to cut up a jersey like that compared to a standard Yankees jersey as I'd imagine the tour jersey would have far less surviving examples.
