2008 Update / Heritage High Number 2-Box Break
What do I do when 2013 Series 1 is about to release? Why, I break 2 boxes of a 5-year-old product, of course!
I went to a couple Walmarts looking for S1, and while neither had any, each one had a hobby box of 2008 Update / Heritage High Number for $50. Each pack contains 6 Heritage cards, 2 Update cards, and a piece of bubble gum, lol. I'm a sucker for Heritage, and this seemed like an interesting break, so I bit knowing that there were a lot of good RCs in this Heritage release. It sure was fun, and yielded some very decent cards (although no autos) ... and the best part was that I really had no idea what I was getting into!
Pieces of Bubble Gum - 47 (yes, I tried one, 5-year-old bubble gum is about 4.5 years too old)
2008 Topps Update - Longoria RC
2008 Heritage Base - Longoria RC, Kershaw RC, C. Gonzalez RC, J. Garcia RC, and anyone else you can think of ... dupes of some
Heritage Black-Backs - Kershaw RC
Heritage Chrome /1959 - Fukudome RC, C. Gonzalez RC x2
Heritage "Clubhouse Collection" Relics - Ryan Zimmerman, Julio Lugo (Red Sox)
Heritage 1959 Buybacks - Norm Zauchin
... and last but not least ...
Heritage Chrome Black Border /59 (3 per case) - C. Gonzalez RC
Will try to get scans up soon for those who care. Was a very fun break. If anyone is interested in anything, shoot me a PM.
If you see any of these boxes and decide to buy, keep in mind that some of the autos are redemptions that expired in 2010.
