Default 2013 Topps S1 Retail - 2 Blasters, 2 Hangers, 2 Racks

Picked up 2 blasters, 2 hanger boxes, and 2 rack packs from Walmart this morning. I think my affinity for HTA/jumbo draws me to the 72-card-pack hanger boxes, even though they don’t deliver the inserts quite like the blasters.

Here are the notable results … hope to have some scans up tonight:

Base – Profar RC x2, Olt RC, Trout x3 (no Machado or Harper)

SPs – n/a

Blue Parallels – 56 total (20 per blaster, 5 per hanger, 3 per
rack pack), nothing notable

Gold /2013 – 3 total, nothing notable

Emerald Foil Parallels – 6 total (Heyward, Braun)

Million-Dollar Chase Cards – 8 total

Die-Cuts – 2 total (Ruth, Gwynn)

Calling Cards – 3 total (Lincecum, Sandoval, Teixeira)

Commemorative Relics – Chipper Jones (regular patch relic), George Brett (’75 RC reprint)

I may pick up some more later today. Retail on this stuff is a fairly fun break this year … and after seeing how many different insert sets and parallels there are, I know why they labeled this year’s Topps as “The Chase”.

I picked up 12 more blasters last night ... props to Ajax for inadvertently persuading me ... once I saw how well the relics were selling I knew this would be an easy flip.

Here's the total damage on my retail break from yesterday:

Base – Almost two complete base sets

SPs – Mark Reynolds

Blue Parallels – 296 total (220 unique!), hit all the big ones except Trout

Gold /2013 – 8 total, nothing notable

Emerald Foil Parallels – 27 total (Heyward, Braun, Olt)

Pink Parallels /50 - Edinson Volquez

Cut to the Chase Die-Cuts - 11 total, all unique (Jeter, Ruth)

Million-Dollar Chase Cards – 30 total

Commemorative Relics – Chipper Jones, Adam Jones, Matt Holliday, Mike Schmidt, Yu Darvish, Ryan Braun, David Wright

Rookie Reprint Relics - George Brett, Sandy Koufax x2, Reggie Jackson, Eddie Murray, Ernie Banks, and ....... Mike Trout

Overall lots of fun, and I should easily make my money back (including eBay fees) on just the relics, blue parallels, emerald parallels, and a handful of inserts.
