Got into a fender bender in my new car to get some Bowman 2012 packs. Worth it?

Went to get some 2012 Bowman as a last ditch effort to get some Taveras. Not necessarily autos, just a base or refractor or something while also having some fun. The lady drove and we got into a fender bender in a parking lot in our 2012 Cruz. Tracked down the owner of the car and exchanged info (thankfully, he was nice about it and was happy we didn't just drive off). Bleh.

Three jumbo packs and seven regular packs produced two autos and zero Taveras, CarMarts, etc... Boo. Not even base. This was my first hobby Bowman break ever, btw... Not usually my stuff, but Oscar is skyrocketing to the point that I can't really afford his auto singles, so I thought I'd take a crack at it.



Posey is /500. Reed /250. Richard and Whitenton /250. Base autos for both Betances and Bichette. Also got chromes of Brickhouse, Brandon Jacobs, Susac, Marisnick, and JBJ. Broke a few packs od Draft from a fresh box and got zip too. Boo-er.

A bad break to cap off a bad day, I guess. Crappy.

Dude was a teenager and his dad contacted me tonight. Said he'd forget the whole thing since we were nice, which I read as "son is not on insurance." Going to grab him and the kid some gift cards to Target, restaurants and such for being easy to deal with and not making a big deal out of it. Got about 4 or 5 dings in our paint but no dents, so about a $90 fix since I know a guy who deals in paint and detailing. Now if only I could find a way to return this $90 in wax...

EDIT: All of this is FT btw guys... Looking for Wacha, CarMart, Taveras, etc. and other veteran Cardinals.

Well, at least the accident thing worked out better than expected! Can't blame you for going on a Taveras hunt, though. Man his stuff is hot right now.

Especially being a Cardinal fan. I suppose the bright side is that with seven packs I did hit the reg auto and with three packs I hit a jumbo auto. It's nice to beat the odds, I guess.

I pulled a Taveras refractor from my box, thinking at the time "hey that's cool" since I'm a Cardinals fan. Always nice to pull your team. I keep tabs on the Cards farm system a little bit, enough to know how good he's been and I keep hearing about how his cards have skyrocketed. I finally looked at the price of that little refractor....they're going for the same price as 2011 Bryce Harper prospect refractors go for. Prospectors are nuts....

Two tiny dings in the paint... Looks like a bird pooped on it, which is good since most people will go "oh, birds crapped two drops on that man's new car." Should be a $100 fix or so to buff it out and paint over.
