Default Worst Tin of NT Ever

Stopped by the LCS to finally bust a tin of National Treasures today. Long story short, I should have just kept driving...no scans, just the list of garbage...

Adam Dunn bat /99
Tony Gwynn jersey /99
Mel Ott jersey /49
Jackie Robinson jersey /99
Chris Parmelee Rated Rookie manufactured patch/auto /99
Frank Howard jersey/auto /25
Wilin Rosario jersey/auto /99
Tim Lincecum "The Freak" jersey booklet /99

And that's it. You know it's a bad tin when a jersey card is your best hit...time to ice down the old marbles.

EDIT - Nothing is FS/FT, Robinson is PC and everything else was traded back to the shop.

The crazy thing is, you might still get close to 2/3 of your money back. You can't say that with other NTs.....

The RoI is that good with this year's product? That's pretty great if a box this bad still can recover 60 percent...

Maybe at the release price of $300. I won't even get half of the $400 is spent on it today, though. I'm still a big fan of this stuff, but I got crushed with this tin.

I need a long vacation to heal from this beatdown...although I did end up with some cool PC cards today anyway, thanks again!

There must have been an absolute monster in that case. You should be able to get around half back still, which is better than most products.

Two of the other boxes walked out of the shop and I didn't wait around to see the other one busted, since I'd have been pretty depressed if a huge card came out. And yeah, I will get a reasonable return, which is more than I can say about damn near all other products. I do still like NT, but I won't be busting more anytime soon.

Lol, I'm sure I could get any number of people to take these off my hands for nothing, but I appreciate your offer.

My tin is as low a low as I've seen come out of this product, and it still wasn't terrible compared to most other comparable products. It was awful compared to other NT breaks, but I'd rather have a bad box of NT over a bad box of, say, Triple Threads ANY day.

Thanks for the comments everyone!

I'm sure it'll be online soon, either on eBay or their Beckett store (or both).

I've been on an incredible hot streak in football and golf, so I knew it was coming to a fiery end sooner or later. Sucks this high-end product was the place I crashed and burned, but them's the breaks...

Been there on the bad end of the box. Like the Robinson. Congrats on something for your PC. I joined a BlogTv break with NT and Five Star. Had the White Sox. Price was $120 and I ended up with no hits. I have a box of NT I bought yesterday from my LCS. Trying to decided if I should open it, or put it up.

A bad box is like a "cooler" in poker. It may slow you down or stop you for a little while, but, the chase and rewards of the "BIG HITS" keep you in the box breaking game.
