It seems like this product is just as hit/miss as Best of Baseball or any other repack product, something that we were promised it wouldn't be. Watching all of Houdini's breaks, there are lots of big hits, but just as many big misses.

I like the product, but its a tough buy at $230.

I believe I saw a break with 2 slabs and one was a 2009 Trout Bowman Chrome Auto, but most of the 2 slab boxes have been non autos. There have also been some decent ungraded autographs in a few of those boxes also. As for future releases, I would recommend not having any graded cards that sell for less than $10 like the Darvish 9.

I've opened up 5 boxes of Topps Supreme which averages out to almost $500.

1) Quad jersey Blackmon = $8
2) Quad jersey TJ Graham = $4
3) Devier Posey auto = $5
4) Robert Turbin auto = $8
5) Ronnie Hillman auto = $8

I think I'll go make a thread bashing Topps and accuse them of screwing me over on purpose .. or maybe I'll just blame myself for spending $100 a box for 1 hit.

Just FYI, and this isn't a direct response to you, but I was going to post my results good, bad, or indifferent. I obviously was hoping to post that I hit a great card but that's not what happened.

If you look through my post history, I have been excited about PR. I knew it was a gamble and was ok with it. I have bought plenty of 2012 draft with a Bruce Maxwell/ Mitch Nay base auto. Loser boxes happen in every product. However, I didn't think it was possible for a box to be THIS bad from this product. A base Meadows is ok but a Darvish BGS 9 is terrible. Like I said, the last one sold on Ebay for $3. I know that technically I got 2 slabs but is a $3 slab really a slab? Not in my opinion...

I still like the idea of Prospect Rush but I won't be buying any more. Getting burned on a $200+ box is a lot tougher for me than a $80 box.

I was mainly responding to the people who have previously accused PR of purposely screwing over consumers..

As I stated above as well - this was a HUGE miss.

I agree the Darvish is pretty much filler. This reminds me of some of the boxes of Leaf Best of Baseball. Your main hit is a HOF auto that's graded 8.5.

8.5?

I guess there is just a group of people who constantly bash this product because it's a small business with ties to Blowout Cards.

Also, the fact that someone affiliated with PR even responds to peoples gripes is something that people seem to be trying to take advantage of.

Posting your bad breaks shouldn't get you something to make up for your box. If you aren't satisfied - then don't buy it again.

If people complain that they want "better product" then expect to pay more than $200 a box. They have to find a number that's a median between the worst cards (might be your box) and the best box (superfractor autos) .. that may be $200.

That is not the way I understand it. Just because the owner is a B.O. member does not mean he has business ties with B.O. cards, just another forum member. The only reason B.O. bought the product is that a lot of members here were asking them to do so, for group breaks.

The perks of not being a publicly traded company is we'll never know. It's none of my business who they deal with or what ties they have.

I think where I was going with that is that people post on here when they don't break well and the PR member offers explanations or compensation.

They don't owe consumers explanations. It's just like any other trading card company - you buy with the hopes of getting something nice. Some do well and some don't. It would be a lot more money per box if EVERYONE hit big.

I'm in no way trying to bash nor defend this product nor Topps for that matter. When you are talking Topps though, you are talking about a company who has been manufacturing sports cards for over 60 years as well as other ventures we all know about. With Prospect Rush, obviously it his first product line and the manufacturer is an obvious collector who knows the value of every card being packaged at the time of packaging. To compare them in any way, shape, or form to Topps is a total injustice to a major manufacturer. As has been stated already by other members, in my opinion, this is simply a form of grab bags based on the fact the manufacturer is a collector as well. There will be big hits as have been discussed and proven, there will be big losses as have been proven as well, but lets not compare them to Topps, lets face it, he's buying up Topps manufactured cards to put into this product! That said, have I bought any, no I have not but I don't buy a lot of wax anymore. If I had a couple hundred dollars burning a hole in my pocket and I had my choice of this or a couple boxes of draft and go home with $40-50 still. I'm probably taking the draft, but that's just me. Let me also add, I would make the same choice if faced with a Leaf Best of anything product as well.
