I wonder how many barrels topps held back for replacements?

I forwarded a link to this thread to a higher up at topps. My guess is that they will say nothing about it.

Wow!! Grats to you. Kinda sucks for everyone else though. With your 3 combined with ebays 4 means only 13 are left. This crappy allocation has really turned me off from this product though. Yeah I could probably hit some hot boxes but I'd rather not try.

I fail to see how this is bad QC. Getting any hits outside of what's guaranteed per box is completely random. Could this happen? Sure. Hell, he could have had ALL the bat barrels in a single box. Is it likely? No, but as has happened here it IS possible.

Topps could purposely spread the major hits out to different areas of distribution, but do you really want them dictating what should end up where? Imagine the pitchforks that would be raised then!

Congrats to the OP, you win!!

The general consumer expectation is that the distribution should be as random as possible. Define an arbitrary "randomness threshold" if you wish. You'll find, as we have seen in this thread, that this type of behavior -- three of the exact same type of 1/1 insert, each of which is supposedly a 1:125 cases hit, all in one case -- does not even come close to crossing that threshold for most people. The odds are infinitesimal.

That said ... I am thrilled for the OP. We would all love to have had that case.

If you decide to move that Prince please LMK.

Best case I have seen by far, which isn't really shocking to say with 3 barrel hits, but still... Congrats man.

What the fvck topps, those are 1/1s. 3 in a case? Pathetic QC.

In this situation it's not random. Enough evidence has been gathered to support the fact that many great hits were grouped together, leaving a bunch of dud cases. Multiple "loaded" breaks unlike anything I've seen before have been posted already. My cases were the same way. Sure, I am happy to be the beneficiary, but I know deep down it shouldn't have gone that way. SOMETHING went wrong at Topps with how these were packed out.

really was hoping topps would at least address what happened, but they probably have no clue or would say it is isolated

and we keep buying the stuff like there aren't problems or value being less this year (see code cards from S1, or weaker checklists, or removal of parallels from GQ and tribute) and no one seems to be asking Topps the tough ?s or stopping buying as they are the only licensed name in the game

don't get me wrong I am in that group and I love Topps stuff, but there is room for improvement or at least communication and customer support

I see this as an opportunity to address the packout process and what happened but perhaps it is not
