Default 1st case break posted have a big ?

Hello first time I have ever posted anything on here and am curious about what you all think about this one particular card I pulled.

I got a "super box case" and my case hit was a 2006 bowman originals Albert Pujols buyback Auto.

After looking I am leaning towards it being a fake one judging by the ser# in the corner and comparing it to others and the fact that the print run does not exist in beckett.

I do not have a scanner but it is the following card.

2002 Bowman Gold
Card #15
ser# 2/5
On Card Auto.

The print run and card # are throwing me off. If it is fake should I contact the seller about it or what would you do?

I know heck of a first post but I guess that is just the way it happens sometimes.

Do you have a phone with a camera? You can post pics from nearly any device.

What "product" was this that you opened?

I have run into the issue of Beckett not listing serial number print runs or other info on Bowman Original Buybacks before.

You need to add a picture of the card so we can see if the autograph looks real. As the poster above says, Beckett does not always have all of the print run info on buybacks in their database.

However, a lot of the Pujols buybacks are probably fakes. That might make it tough to compare yours to any you see on ebay, since I would estimate that at least half (and probably more like 90%) of the ones on ebay are fakes IMO. It's probably better to compare the autograph on the card to other certified pack inserted cards from 2006 (not buybacks).

Thanks for the replies been away for a few days. Yes the case was a repack case from a super box I was just trying to see if I could score the mantle they have going on promotion.

If you buy a case every case is guaranteed a hit and this was my hit. Here are some pics I took with the phone hope you can get a good feel for what it looks like.

As far as the Auto goes to me it looks fairly close to his other autos that I have seen certified but then again that is just my opinion. Sorry about them being sideways forgot to flip them before posting.

Thanks for the help.

No Offense but this is def not real. I have a friend who works for topps and I also asked him to confirm. I have been getting him IP also the last years, and have 20 items from him from Upper Deck. He never signed his name like that, especially not since his rookie years. I would contact the seller and get a refund. Not trying to be a @$$ or anything, but I know my stuff, especially with authenticating autographs and thats not real.

EDIT: Also I find it funny how the loop in the "A" is different than any other of his legit sigs, and he has one to many bumps in "pujols", mis-spelled his last name... Contact seller and get your money back!!!

Thanks for the heads up I will contact the seller and see what comes of this. I did not buy this card outright and didn't even know I was getting it it came in a repack box so I was on the unknowing end of the stick I guess.

I had a Chipper Jones that was fake from 2006 Originals... People buy cheap $5-10 cards and peal the hologram sticker off the back and fake another "big" star auto and then put it back in the case. The top hologram sticker sealing it is easy to remove with a blow dryer heating the glue.

There is 1000s of fake autos from this set out there. I would never buy one unless it was in a sealed box or pack from the original product.

Yea I would never buy one outright either but I didn't know I was getting it soo not much I could do there I guess.

I got ahold of the card shop that sold me the case and I am sending the card back to them and they are going to send it to PSA to get it checked out. If PSA rejects it he told me he would send me a card of equal value as to what the pujols should have been worth.

I think that is a pretty fair deal myself.

Thanks for the replies and insight it is appreciated.
