Just got an e-mail from Nick's Sportscards in Dallas, TX

Congratulations to Brian Leftin and Evan Bennett for pulling these two great cards out of Topps Tribute

Babe Ruth Cut Signature One of One
Jackie Robinson Cut Signature One of One

Evan pulled the Jackie Robinson first and a few hours and boxes later Brian pulls the Babe Ruth.
These are two of the finest cards I have ever seen pulled in our store.

It was a great day at the card shop!

Very nice cards. They could have done a better job with the Jackie Robinson cut out window, but I don't think anyone will complain. I love how Ruth is looking up at his auto.

isnt Beckett in Texas? hmmm...i wonder if Beckett employees pulled those cards...lol.....o by the way, nice collation Topps. way to distrubute them throughout the country :mad:

The window isn't great, but atleast the signature isn't cut off!:)!

wow! Those are both gorgeous cards. John you have to email them back and find out if they did come from the same case. If they did shame on Topps. You have to make sure the best hits in a product are spaced throughout. Congrats to whoever got em!

Nice to see both cuts used were in Ink...not a big fan of the pencil cuts.

After watching the Bryant Gumbel video regarding all of the fake Babe Ruth autos I can't help but wonder about the authenticity. Something seems "too clean" with this Ruth cut. For the sake of the hobby there must be a way for us to regain confidence in "certified" autographs.

I was going to say the same thing but did not want to put the thread down in anyway,

I feel the same way also. i will never pay a dime for a cut auto. How do you really know that Ruth or Robinson signed that card? You can't

How does anyone know the player signed anything, including those little stickers they use today???? I can see AP's nephew getting $3. a card from uncle Adrian:D

Those guys don't open much baseball, so we are pretty safe to see the big pulls not coming from there. Texas, Cali, etc are where we see them here :D
