Default CARDS

While I agree its fun to redem cards from Topps million card redemption -I have redemed over 700-I traded a case of football cards for them-if you think about it none of my redemptions are valued over $400 (1952 high number). If you look at the years of the cards also, out of 700 I redemed over 5 days 121 were Topps 1987. Thats 1 out of every 7 cards I redemed was a 1987, at one point I got 5 in a row!!! Here are a few things to think about:
1. You do not know the condition of the card you won-remember most were rebuy's from the internet.
2. The only way to get the 52 mantle is by winning the complete 52 set-they are not giving away any single 52 mantles.
3. The value of the redemption cards went from $1 to over $3 a card on Ebay-you realize you can buy 60 redemption cards for $210 or spend that money on a graded card from the 50/60's that will increase in value more then your 55 common redemptions, 2 check lists and 3 1954 commons. I know, if you hit the Clemente Rookie then its worth it....Good Luck and Have fun

Default top 5

1952 Chuck Stobbs / Pitcher / Chicago White Sox

Card ID Number: 62A

1952 Bob Swift / Catcher / Detroit Tigers

Card ID Number: 181

1952 Earl Harrist / Pitcher / St. Louis Browns

Card ID Number: 402

1953 Wilmer Mizell / Pitcher / St. Louis Cardinals

Card ID Number: 128

1953 Keith Thomas / Outfield / Philadelphia Athletics

Card ID Number: 129

My highest valued card is the high numbered 1952 earl harrist and my next highest is a 1971 sparky anderson short print. I have 124 cards. 3 from 1950's/44 from 60's/77 from 70's and 400+ cards from the 1980's on. I also got a topps auto of chris chamblis 2002 worth about $35...I think I have the whole 1987 set 3 times..hahah if anyone needs any 87 or 98 topps let me know I cornored the market. Thats my hits, I am sure someone will log on with 3 redemptions and hit 3 cards from the 50's one being a mantle, man I hope they do I want to see someone it it big! update--just traded a guy a sealed box of cards for 100 redemptions so maybe the big one is comming I will let ya know tomorrow.

Got a lot of 75 off of ebay before the spike. Here's my first 5, in order:

1973 Reggie Cleveland
1971 Gaylord Perry
1969 Willie McCovey AS
1966 Jesus Alou
1963 WS Game 3

I like where this is headed (even if I just super-jinxed myself)

i am noticing a trend, i have had twelve redemption's
2 from a $20 blaster box=1952 Northey / Cubs and a 1968 common

The other 10 i got from retail packs at wal mart, the oldest card i won was a 79 and i got like 5 87's

looking at these things people get good cards from the blasters, maybe topps is trying to boost sales?

I also hope topps releases the sales for this series compared to others

The topps president said there are at least three '52 mantles involved in the competition so that isn't true, i read it in an interview

I've read the same thing, so I didn't figure this was accurate, yet as far as I know, there hasn't been ANY announcement as to how these will be given away. I would assume they would give some away as single redemptions and some (or one) as part of a complete set. I just don't think anyone should assume anything. You never know with these card companies anymore.

If anyone likes this program because they just want a '52 mantle then they should give up, i like collecting as many topps sets as i can and am just getting these cards as a bonus, people should look at them as inserts...the only cure is more cowbell, im addicted to topps million, i will stop once i have, idk, 6 1952 cards...I have one right now
