For the past couple days (not counting today) they have been giving away pretty much all 1973 and 1975 cards. When you do a search of the unlocked cards, there is not one single 1973 Mike Schmidt or 1975 George Brett or Robin Yount. They are only giving out commons. I'm seriously losing faith in this program.

Dont lose faith in the program, just keep in mind the 70s and 80s and even the 90s were flood years for sports cards. There were probably a couple million of each card printed. It only stands to reason that there would be a hell of a lot more of those than 50s and 60s. It wasnt until the 2000s that the production started to slow down and it was more about the short print cards.

I totally agree with that. Program started nice and slowed a little, but I think that we will see it pick back up. My first 43 had a nice variety to them, but I also got them all in on the first day. I am trying to get more redemptions now, but I am not willing to pay the $3 or so that this seem to be going for. I like a good gamble but I also don't like to get my head cracked either. That being said I think that we may see a good bunch of cards again about the time that series 2 comes out, maybe the first day or two after release and then again after updates releases. Just my theory on it though. I was hoping that seeing those 70s and 80s cards come out in bunches would drive prices down a little, but so far no luck. I wish that I would have known lol, I would have bought them up at the 50 cents they were going for and resold them now. Hindsight is 20/20 as always.
Has anyone seen what Topps will be really charging for these to be shipped. I have heard about 50 cents each for shipping? If anyone has an actual statement a link woud be greatly appreciated.
Also, I am guessing that there will be about 200,000 plus that get tossed, expire, or otherwise that go unredeemed. Do you think topps will save some of the best cards for those final batches so that they are not given away? I know that we are just guessing but I like to hear other people's thoughts.
I wanted to get a bunch of commons for my sons boys scouts, but if shipping is too high I wil probably jst stick to giving them my commons from here at home.
Series 2 does seem to offer some really nice incentives even compared to Series 1, which has me thinking about getting multiple cases of them and just selling off the million cards if the prices hold up. Figuring I could get about $200 back off the top for those, lol. Well enough of my rambling for now.

I opened 15 packs out of a fresh box today and got 5 redemption coupons. I'm gonna sit on them until the time is right. As a computer programmer myself, I totally know that site can be manipulated and used to market attention towards additional products.

Yeah for the 52 basically I guess. Probably not that great of a deal when I researched the bay for prices. Although I am more of a collector than anything.

Actually compared to ebay, checkoutmycards and lots of other sites, it's reasonable. You figure on Ebay it will generally cost you $2-$3 dollars for 1 card. Checkoutmycards is $3 as well.

Keep in mind they will be shipping out thousands and thousands of cards. The manpower alone is going to bring up the cost to ship. I don't have a problem with their shipping costs. If it's not cost effective for you to ship the cards, then don't. I doubt people who have 1950s and 60s are going to have a problem paying to have those shipped to them. It's the poor guys and gals that all they got were 80s and 90s that won't want to pay for it.

You just don't have good cards

I have 2 1952's, a 54, 55, and a 56 and those are all worth shipping for 50 cents.

Why would topps ship 1,000,000 cards for free?!?!? that would cost them so much money
