Coolest cards I got were :

1954 Bill Renna Philadelphia Athletics
1962 Vern Law Pirates
1968 Rookie Stars Washington Senators
1968 Rookie Stars Detroit Tigers
1971 Phil Niekro

Also got 1987 Gwynn , Boggs , Michael Jack and a 1985 Sandberg.

The 1954 is AWESOME, I really didnt expect anything that old. I was expecting everything would be mid to late 80's and early nineties.

Id also like to take this opportunity to say that I think this is the best thing that has happened in our hobby in many years. Talk about a great way to get kids involved in baseball and trading card history.

The website looks and runs great ( albeit a weird launch time and server overload when it did start ). I had no trouble entering my 20 + codes last night at 8 P.M. Eastern. Thanks Topps for doing this right, this collector is impressed. I hope the shipping of these goes as smoothly as it could.

I don't have any of these cards yet, but it is really entertaining to see everyone post their list of cards they've received. Keep it up & good luck to everyone. Always good to see people get vintage cards. I think this is a great idea from Topps.....for once.

This is a GREAT and fun program. I picked up a couple jumbo packs yesterday and saw the cards, and almost threw them out because I thought it was like all the other programs they have run. AND you can trade the cards? That will be interesting. Here are the first 2 I have, I may buy some more:
Damion Easley 1998
Gary Neibauer 1970
No idea who Gary is, but excited it is 1970.

Yeah I did the same thing becasue I got the 66 Mantle. I offered a decent trade for it so I have to hope that they may be willing to trade it for that. I also got a 52 High series, a 53, 54, and a 57 vintage cards. Very excited and congratulations to topps for this program. Now, I am just wondering what condition these cards will be in once I receive them. Any thoughts on that? While I know that it is highly doubtful that there will be any mint vintage, I just hope that there are not very poor examples sent out either. So far this program has been a very good reflection on the company, if they handle shipping well and send the cards in decent shape this will be the best program ever ran.

I imagine that Topps will be sending out the higher dollar cards in slabs or possibly 1 touch cases. Somehow I doubt they would be sending out these multi-hundreds of dollar cards in a sleeve and top loader. Too much risk involved with that. But the majority of the cards sent out will likely be in bulk boxes because of the amount of redemptions placed by each person.

I'd be curious to see how many kids have received packs and then tossed the redemptions because they figured they would be worthless.

Does anyone know if each redemption card is pre-assigned a card or is it completely random? ie...redemption number A1234 is assigned to 56 Mantle????

I did about 70 and these are the pre-80's cards that I got. Nothing really great, but I got a few shortprints, an autograph and a few keepers. Anyone do any trading yet? I got some crazy offers that I declined right away, but I guess I made one or 2 crazy ones myself...

For my own curiosity I decided to calculate the odds of pulling cards from the various decades. I went on the site and was able to see the quantity of cards redeemed by year. Here are the totals:

1950's - 1,825
1960's - 5,121
1970's - 7,961
1980's - 18,706
1990's - 7,575
2000's - 10,133

This gives a total # of cards redeemed to date of 51,321. Using this # here are the odds to hit a card from any given decade.

1950's - 3.55%
1960's - 9.98%
1970's - 15.51%
1980's - 36.45%
1990's - 14.75%
2000's - 19.74%

I would imagine that enough of these have been redeemed that this will be a pretty average breakdown.

I was browsing and saw a Tribute Mays GU, and a Auto Mays were redeemed. Talk about a great turn for a buck.

I just did a quick look and calculation with my redemptions (70+), and your averages were pretty spot on with the spread of cards I got.
