Default I hit the lottery!! Pull of my life!! Eye candy for any bowman chrome color auto fan!

I just had probably the pull of my life. To this point the most expensive card I've ever pulled and sold is probably in the $200+ range. I can't think exactly which one it would be, but it is about to be supplanted by this.

I pulled this from one box of 2012 Bowman Draft Picks and Prospects:

NOTE: All scratches or marks in any of the pictures are on toploader, not on the card.

2012 Bowman Chrome Draft Michael Wacha Red Refractor Auto # 4/5!!!!

I could only find one of these that has sold on eBay. It was a BGS 9.5/10, and sold for $1,802.77, as seen here:
2012 Michael Wacha Bowman Chrome Red Refractor Rookie RC BGS 9 5 Auto 10 1 5 | eBay

I am taking offers on the card, but I think the smart thing to do is to get it graded as fast as possible.

Now, I'm not the best at judging what a card is going to grade, so this is where I would like some help if possible. I tried measuring the sides, tops and bottom, on the front and on the back. In doing so, I got 3 mm, (I think it's mm), exactly on every single measurement. On the back of the card, on top of the name, It was very close to being above. Possibly 3.25 mm. Not sure how big of a difference that is going to make.

But in my opinion, this card looks to me like it will grade as gem mint. If anyone is an expert at this I would appreciate the input. I tried taking some pics with the ruler on top of the card so that you could possibly see the measurements. I don't think it worked out too well so I stopped after doing the sides. Here are a few more scans/pics though:

Is there anyone that sees something I don't and thinks it will grade less than a 9.5? Are there any pics I can take to help you judge that.

centering looks good, the back l/r looks a little off but because its the back you have more leeway there. Not sure what's going on in the top left edge of the card. Looks really good otherwise, awesome pull man, never pulled a red auto myself.

Congratulations on a great pull

Make sure you very VERY carefully use a sunglasses wipe to knock any dust and or fingerprints off the surface (I failed to do this when I 1st started submitting and it cost me some surface points)

Good luck with the grade

While you are probably joking, you may not be. Has anyone ever tried this before? It works in most other facets of life, why not for grading!

Boom!!! Nice hit. 9.5 all day. Wipe the whole card with a micro cloth. You can actually put a little pressure on the card if it had a scuff. Sometimes it will remove them.

The people that open your packages when they arrive doesn't grade them. You'd be paying the wrong person.

Thank you very much everyone. What is wrong with the top left? If you're referring to the photo with the ruler in it, I didn't capture the whole card with the picture. If you're talking about the full card picture, I'ts just the glare from the lights in my room. Here are a few more pics I took of the edges and corners. I'm really not good at judging the grade-ability of a card, so I appreciate all advice.

Also, as I am a college student with no real job at the moment, I am willing to sell this card raw if someone has a legitimate offer. And I pulled this card at about 4 am this morning, (yes I'm an insomniac lol), and when I searched eBay the only sale I saw was the one that sold for $1,802.77 on August 28th. That's weird that the $999.99 one didn't show up.

Here are a few more pics, if anyone has any input on the grading:

That last one's actually a bad picture. I just inspected the card again and it looks fine. It must be how the light catches the card, or my phone moving as I took the picture.

You gotta stop touching the card...you can see in the pics that you are leaving thumb prints unless you plan on wiping the whole card. If the surface cleans good i would grade it but there are a ton of specks on the card.

Don't worry, I know someone who preps cards for grading that will be wiping all prints off the card. And I was very gentle and careful in how I was holding the card.

And would anyone like to make an offer? I'm willing to sell raw.

Congrats man, A couple things, as someone who does some grading, you can't tell by a scan. Anyone who tells you that it is a guaranteed gem from those scans has no idea what they are talking about. If they could, people would buy all the gem mint raw cards off ebay and make a fortune. When in reality, maybe 10-20% of raw cards on ebay are gradeable.

On a card that nice, even if you have a 50/50 of it grading gem mint, you do it. Bottom line. Good luck and congrats on the hit!

I'm really bothered by those grubby fingers molesting this card.

I said already that I handled the card very gently, and that I know someone who knows how to prep cards for grading before I decided to touch the cards, so I'm not an complete idiot. I also just took two new pictures, and want to see if you see any finger prints on the cards, because I sure don't.

Send it to BGS on a 2 or 5 day grading, request slab only 9.5. If you don't you could be leaving huge $ on the table. It will cost you about $50-70 can't remember pricing exactly. This way it will either come back slabbed a 9.5 or comes back raw, and the raw might sell as good or better as a 9. It's a best bet if you're wanting to maximize your return and it will take a week, the prices won't change that much unless he pitches another great game. Even if he has 1 bad game, prices won't dip much because he's a young talented prospect.
