Default Couldn't be more disappointed... Walmart Artifacts!

I love this hobby so much, but it's times like these that make me so disappointed. Waiting for a shipment from Blowout that should arrive on Monday. Had the itch, so I went to Walmart and bought a box of UD Artifacts for $60. Got home to break it and after I opened it realized that someone re-sealed it and took all the hits out of it. Can't believe the A-holes in this hobby. Once I noticed that it was re-sealed I didn't touch it. Does anyone know if Walmart will take this back? What should I do? At any rate, I am glad that a kid who is spending there hard earned allowance did not pick this one up. Another lesson learned...

That sucks, seems like there have been a few of these re-sealing stories on here. That's a bummer, lots of jerks out there. Hopefully WMT will do something about it to help you out. Good luck!

I don't for sure. I am guessing that, since all of the packs were cut at the top, all of the hits are gone. I am not going to check for sure, but I can assume so. Regardless, if there is a hit in the box, it is not one that I want to keep.

This happened to me with a Blaster Box from Target. I too was so pissed I wanted to hurt somebody. I boycotted buying retail for a long time….. There are indeed some real desperate slobs associated with this hobby for sure….

Walmart don't care either. I bought a value box once and realized it was double sealed and took it back and explained the situation. I made it clear they need to tell the vendor the problem. Well the next time I came in the box was right back on the shelf.

Doesn't wall mart take anything back? You just get Wal Mart credit or something? Hell I've taken things in there I never even bought at Wal Mart and got refunded

Happened to me once at Target. They had actually inserted cards from different sets/products in the packs. I stopped after the 1st pack & brought the box back. They gave me a refund no problem.

If they took it back resealed from the scumbag, they will take it back from you IMO. I would ask to speak to the GM, and explain this form of fraud is happening in his or her store. Maybe he will alert security and customer service....

The card section is leased out to a third party vendor, so Walmart couldn't care less about it.

I bought an open box of UD football in 1998 at Target. One pack was missing. I pulled zero rookies. I mailed a letter to UD and they sent me 6 rookies to make up for it. One was a Brian Griese, which was a decent card at the time. UD had no obligation to me but went the extra mile.

Those were the days...

Good luck actually getting to speak with the general or even regional manager in store. GTFO. One they aren't going to be on site, two, they're going to have bigger things to deal with than a guy who bought bad baseball cards, three, no one on staff is going to be allowed to give you his phone number let alone an e-mail address. Regardless of that, you'll still 99% be able to return it and get a refund.

yes, they will take it back. had that happen to me on two Topps FB boxes. The cards had been replaced with 2007 Topps FB cards and there was no rookie relic.

Thanks for all the responses and advice! They did take it back. Stayed away from card aisle and purchased a blue-ray with Wifi for ten dollars more. Sticking to LCS and Blowout from now on!
