17 boxes of 08 Sterling

First post here, been waiting for my account to become active. Love reading your box/case breaks.

Over the past 4-5 weeks I've busted a crap load of stuff so I'll post some of the more interesting stuff here over the next few days.

I got myself a 10 box case, 5 box case and 2 loose boxes of 08 Sterling and here are the hits.

It's amazing how many 1/10 and 10/10 were in the same 10 box case....Every 1/10 or 10/10 came out of the same 1 10 box case.

The 1/1 Jumbo patches and the wood card came out of the mystery packs, everything else is out of the main boxes.

Cards are as follows, just to show you the individual crazy numbering...

-Fred McGriff 1/1 (has a thread pulled in the middle of the swatch

-Mickey Mantle 8/10 (the silver plastic around just above the 3 patch is cracked out of the packet

-Stan Musial 1/1

(quite possibly one of the nicest cards i've ever seen...much less pulled!!!) Very nice jersey patches on this one

I'm amazed at the amount of damaged hits that are coming out of the Topps stuff I break lately....it seems nearly every decent hit I get there is some fault with the card........so annoying

Especially the Mantle....

Some nice cards, but why would they think about putting a 1 color jersey in a 1/1 jumbo patch?

Fantastic Musial! I like the Murray and Sandberg as well.

Amazing how bad they screwed this product in 09.

The Musial, of course, is a tremendous card. But the Sandberg 1/1 is special : a truely beautiful card with a unique look.

I did not see what 2008 Sterling looks like before this post, and I must say the card designs are some of the nicest I've seen. Thanks for sharing.
