Default 2014 Elite 3 Blaster Break

I love this product, I always have fun breaking it, regardless of the horrid resale value it yields. I decided to stay away from hobby this year, seems like they threw more top tier autos in retail this year so I went to Target today and snagged the three blasters they had. I have my second case of 2015 S1 Jumbo coming in later today and I like to do a little warm up break before I get into a case. That said, as always, fun break all around. Wish they had hangers of this stuff here, but it's always cool to pull a few low numbered cards, an on card auto and (more redemptions for the never ending chain of redemptions I have open with Panini) some decent inserts. Below are the notables, Hoffman and Rondon came in the same blaster, going to call that loaded for Elite Retail. Also pretty cool hitting a couple of Lara's, heard a lot of good things about him so far.

Haven't seen a visual on variations yet, though I did find it interesting that they used different photos for Lara's base and his diecuts. I know they are two different card numbers, but typically I remember Panini using the same photo for base and diecuts. Thanks for the look!

Nice break! I have yet to find any retail in my area. I did break a couple hobby boxes and you may be right that retail is better if you can find it.

Thanks!
So far, I think it is based on the breaks I've seen on here. Last year's hanger boxes were really good. I did well on hobby last year too, but outside of a base Meadows and Polanco, I didn't really feel like there was much difference between retail and hobby.

I have to say i'm unsure on retail for this. I bought 3 blasters about a week ago and killed it first 3 blasters I got:
Carlos Rodon purple status #/75
Aramis Garcia red ink inspirations #/25
Braxton Davidons blue status #/50
Braxton Davidson red inspirations #/100
Dermis Garcia franchise futures emerald #/25
Dermis Garcia blue status #/50

I was so jazzed about this I saw 5 blasters at another target yesterday on my lunch break so I bought all 5. This time around I got this:
3 Victor Arano base #/799
1 Victor Arano purple status #/75
3 Daniel Mengden base #/799
1 Isan Diaz base #/570
Blake Rutherford 18U auto #/199
Austin Smith 18U auto #/199

The 18U werein the same box. The first 3 I bought were awesome the last five were awful and produced the same auto again and again. Its hit or miss in my opinion so far.

Yeah, that's pretty rough on those last three, I'm probably going to wait for hanger boxes before I buy more. Question: Do your Arano autos look like he signed on card and they put a blank sticker over the auto?

Yes! I'm glad someone else noticed it too. I was confused so I asked my wife to look and she thought it was signed on card as well. On one of the cards the ink extends slightly beyond the sticker. I think they may have done it to prevent smudging because his auto looks like a crayola marker. The purple status auto I got of Arano was not covered by a sticker though.

Oh cool, I thought I might be the only one lol. It does look like a thick crayola marker for sure, guess the sticker makes sense. How's the auto on the status purple?

Think ink on the purple as well but no sticker over it.

29.99...value is close to hobby. You get 30 cards...2 autos...and I believe either an insert or die cut in every other pack.

That was the only real draw of buying a hobby box, I usually hit one USA auto a box. But it looks like retail gives you pretty similar odds really.

Found 3 more blasters today. I got 5 base autos, Wyatt Strahan, Shane Zeile, Taylor Gushue, Nick Burdi, and Nick Wells. No duplicates in these three boxes and no duplicates from previous breaks. The sixth auto was a green ink #/10 Milton Ramos. After all the breaks I'm leaning towards a solid retail year for this product.

Nice break there, I'll be looking for more for sure. Nice hit on the Ramos, I like the different parallels Elite offers.

Nice low numbered pulls. That's the fourth or fifth box where I've seen Arano and Mengden together hmmm.

Guess I'm done buying blasters because I don't want to be stuck with too many Arano's and Mengden's. I wonder if anybody has pulled those two out of hobby boxes or were they just put into retail?

Yeah, I'm going to hold off for hanger boxes for Elite, I'm seeing way too many Aranomengdens, I'm not looking to PC either of those fellas lol.

Since I have bought so many blasters, Panini has forced me to be an Arano and Mengden supercollector without my consent.....well played panini....well played....

Very cool, two pretty solid autos there! Seems like you either get the clowns I have scanned above, or a couple of SP'd autos. Very hit or miss this year.

I've seen a bunch of these at targets the past week...I have done either awesome or aronomengdened...because I don't want anymore Arano's or Mengden's I have not bought any of the ones I have seen. Its tough because when its not one of those guys, I pull either a top name or a low numberered one like red ink or green ink.
