5 pack Tribute break......Yankees book!

First busted 2 packs from a new box and got a Ryan Howard Triple Relic auto /50

and a Willie McCovey gold relic /25.

2 other friends and I shared a box and we each got 2 packs. I got autos of Tulo and Carlos Pena

(Why is he in the set?

What rivalry does TB has???? At least I guess is a little better than Figgins since Pena is a power hitter). The box is burtal. The last auto is a Sheffield. Forgot what are the relics. Nothing exciting.

Really thought I was done with Tribute. But broke down before I went home and grabbed 1 more pack. I opened the pack and saw a book card in the middle. I slided down the common card and saw this:

Was thinking "Wow! 1961 Yankees." Opened the book and saw this:

Beautiful card!! It's definitely going into my PC!

not to shabby, to bad the mantle pieces dont look as good as the maris, but i wouldn't be complaining...congrats

This is one sweet looking book card. Love the design. You must have been flipping when you saw '1961 Yankees'... I know I would have!

Great card, another reason to not buy single packs. You got lucky with an honest dealer. I know some who would've seen that a mile away and opened it for themselves.

I would rather pull a Carlos Pena auto rather than a Aki Iwamura auto. He has been in this product 2 straight years for some odd reason and now he's not even playing in the majors anymore.

Yeah, I saw a box opened Friday and noticed the difference in the pack size. Best to buy full boxes of this stuff. IMHO

Yeah, that dealer is honest. He never searches the packs. He shuffles the packs but put them back in 2 column of 3 each. It's hard to tell the difference.

Yeah the last time I went into a shop (right after last year's Tribute came out) the owner was bragging to me about how he pulled a Tigers booklet in one pack. I was like "yeah because it's so hard to see the difference, ***hole".

Very nice card, love the Yankees, too bad about that damage on the thrid jersey piece on the Maris side, I hate when Topps messes up.
