That maddux is a fake. Some guy is making a bunch of 1/1 with that die cut. Including some Lebron 1/1s etc...theres a thread on here talking about the guy but i don't know where it is

Not sure how you can call fake and NOT supply any thingclose to proof, but I will address your comment

The World series stamp on the base issues was in the upper right corner, not the middle.
Auto cards that were 1/1 were stamped 1/1
Non auto cards were stamped 01/01

So what you are saying is a person used a plotter with a cutting bar,a press stamp with the world series logo and a tap and dye stamp for the 01/01 mark.....
Yah,provide a link or smoke better weed

It was not pulled from a pack like that. Donruss never used die cuts like that in that set. Why would anything stamped with "2004 World Series Aberdeen" be even considered as pack issued? That card is homemade.

Im with Gibberish if it is a fake please provide REAL proof, I bought a local card stores inventory who had gone out of business about three years ago and it was in there. If I ever found out it was fake I would FULLY REFUND the guy who bought it in a heartbeat.

See, I find this a touchy subject myself with the issues I had from MORONS who screamed FAKE because they felt a patch looked too good on early 2002-2003 cards. It took me 3 days to prove they were not fake but reckless remarks costs me hundreds in sales.....so when a lemming screams fake or counterfeit with nothing to back it up other than a hunch or something he THINKS he saw but cant recall it,then that person should be held in check for his irresponsibility.
My issue was a few 2004 donruss mirror series ( I think it was 2004) that had partial logos and 5 color patch pieces on cards that were numbered to 25 and up to 250. they applied todays logic that a sexy patch only comes in low numbered to cards that were issued 10 years ago when the serial number and color was an indicator of its rarity not the patch. I had to find and locate several mirror golds and did, that showed bland solid white patches on cards /10. As well as patch autos with the same, ugly crap looking GU pieces. I can understand the possibility that a person has a plotter with a cutting bar, hell I can go borrow one if I choose with a phone call to a guy up the road, however, making an embossing stamp with the series logo with Aberdeen in it ( WHich makes me think it was an issue for the Cal Ripken World series) is a HUGE task as well as having a plate stamp for the 01/01

Anything is possible, but i think the most common approach is usually the correct one and with the cash and time involved to make a "person made" card of this quality would be a laughable idea.
