I don't want to sell it if it is not real but was hoping those who commented on it not being real would maybe go into more detail as to why they think ts fake.

Thanks

Can't speak for the others.. but that appears to be a classic Autopen Mantle fake. Take a magnify glass and try to see if there are any inconsistancies in the ink pressure.. if there aren't.. it's autopen.. sorry man

A forgery is NOT an autopen.

This is so confusing.

One person has PMed me and said they would maybe try to find out some more info so that's cool.

I also have been trying to find other examples and have found a few on Worthpoint.

Some are 8x10 like the one I have and others seem to be a larger.

I have included some links to Worthpoint as maybe a reference guide to help.

Either way this is like on hold now for being sold.

Mickey Mantle Auto. 8x10 Petronella w/ Scoreboard Ce (04/21/2011)...

MICKEY MANTLE AUTO LITHO WITH COA- GREAT SIGNATURE

Mickey Mantle framed and matted 11x14 autograph w/co (06/28/2011)...

Mickey Mantle Signed 16x20 Photo GAI certified (04/04/2011)

Mickey Mantle original signed autograph 8x10 photo!

I emailed Mr. Ken Goldin about this autograph and the other one I had listed and he says both are not real.

This item is no longer for sale and I would like to thank everyone for their help.

Help me out here, who is Ken Goldin and why did he say this was fake? It looks good.

Ken Goldin and his father are the ones who started Scoreboard. They had many private signings with Mantle. The thing about SB is their COA's were easy to copy and attach to a forgery. That's why you see so many forgeries with fake SB coa's. Mantle never signed this photo for SB. In fact, you will probably never find an authentic signed print of this photo. This is a forgery done by the same people who have hundreds of thousands of these on the market. If it looks good to you, then I suggest you don't purchase Mantle autographs.
