Default Nice Playoff TOTT Hank Aaron Patch card

Was looking thru some of Ebay's Playoff Absolute auctions and found this card. A few nice jersey cards from football, but none of them compared to this baseball one. Pretty neat...

I'm guessing it's a fake.

With Absolute, usually anything like this would be considered a "prime" jersey and would be printed so next to the patch, instead of just "game-worn jersey" like this one does. For example, see this auction.

Note that the guy also gives no serial number for the card. If it was legit, it would definitely have a very low print run. This was likely just a one-color jersey piece (with a high print run) that was replaced.

I hate to turn this into a Beckett "is this a fake or real patch" thread, but that is definitely fake. A couple of signs that the patch may be fake include the quality of patch (a patch like that from Aaron would be one in a million), the fact that it says jersey instead of jersey prime or patch, the high serial number or complete lack thereof, the private bidders, the other similar patches from the seller. Again, I hate to accuse the seller because I am by no means a patch expert, but based on what I've seen in the past that one is not legit.

Those are fakes for sure - when Aaron was playing jerseys were used for tons of games - if this were real it would look more "weathered" than it does.

I am not even sure that the Braves had this emblem on their uniform in the 60's and 70's

Looks to good to be true. If it was a 1/1, why wouldnt you scan that for the auction. I think this is a fake as well.

As far as I know, BGS and PSA do not authenticate patches.
