Wow the pics do look nice, much nicer than the 2008 Football sterling.....I hope I can get funds together to pre-order a whole lot of cases. God why is this year's product pre-selling lower than last years? I am going crazy on this, this product is filled with great players, no junk, man I am aiming for 50 cases this year.

Price keeps dropping. Very interesting. Wonder what's up? Is it the fact that people just don't have the money for a high end product like this?

Doesn't seem that having the CMG players did a whole lot for triple threads. Granted some of the cards that will be pulled from sterling will be amazing (jumbo swatch autos and cut signatures) but the economy right now has people second guessing frivolous purchases.

Agreed, add on ebay's new increase with fees and people are selling less on ebay. Most of the boxes have gone down and card companies continue to put out new card brands. How long until the hobby has 1 bad year and there are so many boxes laying around that dealers are unable to sell them and unable to buy new boxes to buy and then Topps and UD can no longer sell to those dealers and they go out of business. People do not have money to dish out for cards, those card companies should be putting out less product not more.

Topps and UD and Donruss won't go out of business. The ones who will go out of business first would be distributors. Topps, UD and Donruss force these distributors to buy certain amounts of junk product, just to get pallets of good stuff. There are several distributors out there all competing against each other. They are the ones relying on continuing sales, not the card companies.....their sales are guaranteed.

Exactly, what happens when these distributors go out of business? If Topps and UD keep forcing these guys to buy X amount of junk boxes to get the Topps Sterling boxes, and then those boxes don't sell eitheir, then eventually they will have so much stock around and won't be able to sell them and they will have to stop buying.

Yep, I just meant the first to fall will be the distributors, then the hobby stores, then the companies themselves in that order.

I was almost ready to pull the trigger on a case. Now I think I will just look for the specific players that I am interested in and save some money.

Jason buy a case........in December. These cases are going down and down. I think a case is the way to go, if you pull a Ruth you will make up for the case. But I don't think you will see Ruth in less than 10 cases, I think that will be really rare, or hopefully I will be wrong.
