Very intersting......maybee perhaps beacause of me and Tk complaining this year several times they are going to do some more case management. Remember their screw up costed them half a case of sterling they gave me for free. If they guarantee 10 different boxes that is good, however I wonder how many complaints they will have when people pull double....Out of my 26 cases I had 1 case with 2 Bonds and no Mantle, 1 case with 2 Mantles and 1 Bonds, and 3 cases with 2 Mantles and no Bonds.

Last year I opened 51 cases in total, and the following were the only dupes I received...
1 case with 2 Santanas 1 case with 2 Ichiros 1 case with 2 Nolan Ryans 1 case with 2 Mantles & 2 Clementes The odds should be that you won't get any dupes, but it's hard if they do the 2 5-box inner cases like last year (sometimes they get these mixed up, which is what causes the dupes...IMHO). Also, the outer boxes will include the "player odds" - for example, last year the SPs were 1:54 for the most part, most of the rest were 1:32/33, 2 were 1:20 (Wright & Morneau) & the "guaranteed" Bonds & Mantle (listed at 1:10). For the most part, the odds are very accurate and collation across the cases I busted was good - I received "less than average" for just a few of the 32/33s, and "more than average" for just a few. Even those variances were relatively small. Also, every case I opened had a Wright, a Morneau, OR 2 short-prints...with one having 3 short-prints. It's all going to be based on the odds for each player. The 2006 Josh Gibson was something like 1:190 boxes (or 19 cases, obviously). I wouldn't expect there to be anything quite that rare this year...but you never know. Somehow they need to get 250 serial numbered base cards for a minimum of 3 different base cards of each player in the distribution. Of course, if Munson is a short-print? The price goes up the day the first box is opened and the odds are revealed. That's why waiting for distribution is always "iffy". Overall, should be interesting - if they do a good job with the jumbo patches, those should sell very well...last year's that were regular cards INSIDE the boxes were pretty awesome for the most part. |

thanks for the insight kramer. I'm definately going to get a case (hopefully around 2k) and hope I get lucky with the players in it. Maybe flipping the boxes of players I don't want and mystery packs will allow me to get another case without much more money out of pocket. Im sure that after the product has been released and things calm down I will be abke to pick up specific player boxes at a reasonable price.
