...I don't know who came up with the idea of redemptions, but it's a bad one. Last night I was making a purchasing decision based on whether or not the redemptions were expired. Shouldn't be that way...

as i said in the 07 draft thread nothing is going to recover until the economy does.

More specifically -- I was commenting that as of right now, the product doesn't have any real wow factor -- don't know if a hot rookie will come up in that time that will change the wow factor of this box.

I know the economy blows. But this product blows harder than the economy.

Topps cranked up production based on the insert odds so yes I'm sure they dumped this crap product on the market. Over 40 autos in the set with only a handful of decent prospects made this a big loser.

so is it worth it to wait until it gets down to around 30$ a box and buy 24 boxes of this stuff and take the chance, knowing youre probably hit a couple decent autos, or pre-order a 12 box case of bdp&p for the same price??????

If you wait until it goes to <$20, you can put it in the fireplace and the heat generated makes it more cost effective than an oil burning furnace.

Yeah,
Bought a case for $480+ tax and did the recent live case break. My case was solid but I know I won't get my money back. I did it cause I'm an addic and for the fun of it. Pulled 4 good cards worth on ebay $200 total right now while the rest of the case is crap.

ok. i assumed you were talking about by the case, which is a more accurate way to follow the market. i've been buying boxes for $39 and change by the case using live discount.

At $360/case for 08 BC . . . you probably won't get beat up bad . . there might actually be upside

Hold at $360 a case- when the Villalona's become live the price should go up a bit.... and when some of the base chrome Rookies like Francisco, Dominic Brown take off ,I also I think it will be a slow climb because of Donruss including Autos of theses guys liscensed or not

LOL, no problem . . . Bowman has been the only product I've broken for about six years now, so I'm a little partial to it, but there is only one year in its history (2000) that can be had that cheap. Who knows what the immediate (or even long-term) prospects are for the economy and/or cards, but I have to think at $30 box, it's pretty darn safe investment.

i hear the lars anderson guy is supposed to be really good. does he have a base card in this ? or just a auto ?

Anderson is good as well as these guys

The problem is, is that with every good auto there is about 7-8 bad ones. Not good odds to mess around with. The way i would touch this is if it went under 30 a box. If you can get 2 of these cases for the same price as a bowman draft case, i would say go with the bowman chrome.
