Wow, that is ugly. White borders hold better than black, but they look like something out of the early 90's. Maybe because that's all they will be worth. The legendary lineage insert cards looks nice, but how many non-autographed manufactured patches are these companies going to keep making??

i just always wonder what go's on in the final decision in these meetings. wow yeah !!!!!!! that design is great lets go with that one. who ever came up with this design should be fired.

well i got this off wax heavens blog (i usually visit 1-2 times a week) there is also a link to another blog that has more info. i am kinda pissed about the turkey red inserts instead of a full set.

So what this means is that as predicted, the CMG exclusives will be a big theme for 2009 Topps. The Turkey Red cards are a going to be used as inserts through all three series (1, 2, and U & H).

No word on a preliminary checklist, although you already know how that goes...

I am going to contrary to most of the other posts and say that I like the 2009 Topps design. It is a refreshing change from the past 5 year plus many of the insert sets have a very appealing look.

Looks like the Jumbo boxes will have significantly more hits than this year's stinkers.

I like the design, it looks a little like 1987-88 Topps Hockey set.

I too don't understand all the comments saying its ugly, I don't think its that bad. We'll see when the cards are in-hand!
