I got a case of 08 Heroes this week. I think I did really well. Anyways, I got this card that has creases at the two lower corners of the patch area. I was going to sell it, but do you think it's worth returning to UD? I'm not sure of how they handle damaged patch/serialized stuff. I haven't sent them anything (but will soon be sending a mass of damaged Cup cards). Obviously, I'd be descriptive about the damage but is this really that bad?

If you send it back and it can't be replaced you will receive the card back with a cute letter apologizing for the damaged card. They will probably just send you some packs of something as compensation.

I thought UD was able to replace serial numbered cards now that are not auto'ed. You might want to consider calling them and asking.

Fish they like me better.
Pskell that is garbage....I sent back three serial numbered cards. 2 were non-auto'd and only 1 got replaced. The replacement was a different numbered card with better jersey pieces than the original one I had. __________________ Be fearful when others are greedy, and be greedy when others are fearful. -- Warren Buffet aka The Oracle of Omaha checkoutmycards.com/users/nd3 |

Fair enough. I was just going on what they said in that press release a while back. Not really surprising that they don't come through on their word. It, of course, is Upper Deck that we are talking about.

Not sure why they don't. Donruss doesn't seem to have a problem giving replacements and re-stamping the cards.

See I'm still burning up about my last issue with UD and still plan on writing them a little letter with copies of the apologetic letters they had sent me with a couple of lame ass packs. I bought a case of UD goudey and EVERY SINGLE sport royalty card numbered 301-330 had a very terrible corner, so bad I guarantee nobody would pay a nickle for it. So I sent them to Upper Deck and they said basically sorry there is no back stock on these and to accept a couple packs as a token of there whatever how sorry the were.
I think they're just getting to the point if it isn't a common then you'll just get the card you sent in back in the same condition. I remember sending in an Alex Smith RC SPx numbered to /250 and they fixed the problem and even had the same stamp number on it. Now I send some Sport Royalty and they can't send me cards that aren't damaged??? So basically (Sorry for the venting) I would call first wait for like an hour for UD to actually take your call and tell the situation. Worse comes to worse they'll give you a couple of packs of BB heroes ![]() |
