Best box?

Hey,

I am TOTALLY new to baseball, and have never opened or bought ANY. (Ive always been a Hockey/Football guy). And I thought I would try my first ever baseball box. So what do you guys think is the best one for me?

$30-$60 range
Decent amount of hits
Fun rip and easy to flip

Thanks for anyones help in advance!!!

If you're doing baseball for that purpose- Don't do it, just save your cash and/or buy football/hockey! From what I've heard Hockey is better to rip and flip.... if you're doin baseball for fun/collecting then you're good...

Get together an extra $15-20 and get a box of 08 Donruss Threads Baseball from BO on ebay. I've opened 2 boxes so far and love the stuff.

Well, money doesnt come very easy to me, so that may take longer, Lol. What do you guys think of Heroes? Football was good, and ive seen very nice stuff out of baseball. ??

Yes, I have to agree with pskell.. Threads is popular right now- ripped one myself and plan on getting a few more..this one is definitely a fun break and it also has lettermans if i'm not mistaken. This is probably your best bet on fun and flips

Threads is wayyy better than heroes IMO, also I am biased as I've always liked Donruss stuff... Heroes is not near as fun as Threads IMO probably because its Upper Deck lol!

Yeah, same here. I am a big Donruss fan. But the Lettermans are really rare. What do you guys think of SP Authentic? It says 2 lettermans per pox? and its less than $60. If not, threads will be my next choice

I would ALWAYS go with Donruss vs Upper Deck.... I bought SP authentic but only one blaster and a retail box that I could search in a retail store lol.... other than that no... stay away from UD at all costs IMO or you will come away disappointed more times than not... trust us- go with Donruss Threads already

Ha, ok. Well, im going to the card shop tomorrow, and he will most likely have some. What do you guys think the packs should cost? Lol, I have so many questions. I also plan to pick up some Chrome FB.

Threads should run you between $4-5. SPA will probably be upwards of $7-8.

You could go for the home run and get a box of 2007 Bowman Draft. A nice blue refractor of the right player and you double your money in one pack.

2008 Donruss Threads is really popular right now and I must say you get your monies worth. If you can afford go for the whole box and assure yourself of the 4-6 hits plus nice inserts. Even if you are gonna buy a few packs it isn't a bad investment. I bought 2 individual packs of threads and pulled a Stan Musial G/U Jersey Auto #/25! Whatever you decide with good luck.
