Default RC refractor help....

Are the refractor versions of the Bowman Sterling and Bowman Chrome RC's still considered a true RC? I noticed that there is no RC in the price guide along side any of the refractor versions (blue, gold, X, etc., etc.). So I am wondering if they are "rookie year autographs" or considered "true RC's"? Thanks for any help....and its good to be back on the forum again....

I don't know but I do know that If I was looking for a true rookie card (not RC-AU), I probably wouldn't look to this set. Bowman is probably better. Not that there are refractors in Bowman but as far as true RCs go...

Default RC's...

Interesting.....so you would look at just Bowman for a true RC as opposed to Bowman Chrome or Sterling? Let me ask you this......since the "rookie card" logo has been placed on the cards (since 06') would you rather have a prospect AU or a RC AU (or maybe neither if you don't collect that sort of stuff)? Alex Gordon for example has his 2006 Prospect AU cards (chrome and sterling) and then he has his 2007 RC AU's from the many products. I wonder which is more popular now-a-days?

Look at the price guide and that will answer your question.

From what I've experienced the rookie refractor cards have just a select few that chase them. Other than rookie refractor autograph cards most people seem to want just a good chrome rookie. This might be an issue of cost but I've had customers that just collect base chrome rookies other than an odd autographed rookie here and there.
