Why? Is this an auto? EVen if it is, isn't it a base auto (non refractor)? Why the heck would this go close to that high,.

Sweet. Remember these are the odds for the value or "rack packs", not regular Bowman retail.

I think ima bid $1,000 because it's a 1/1 being that it's the first one to be listed on eBay..

Slacknasty - you may not be aware of it, but you basically won the lottery by listing the first Harper Chrome.

From your auction's ending price, the card will slowly go down, down, down.

I question the sanity of these recent bidders (assuming they are bidding with the intention of paying).

There will be many thousands of these produced. Many.

Obviously it will never happen (and I don't want it to), but I wonder what the numbers would be like if EVERY base card was numbered.

both (USA Chrome & Draft) have 1st bowman chrome probably because they were released in the same calendar year......... that might have something to do with it.

Very possible. Most all the other USA guys who got an auto in Draft have the same "1st" designations on both.

I was shocked to get the first "in hand" box from an eBay seller, who I won't name because he sold a LOT of these. I don't want to make all his customers angry that I got the first. Pretty cool. Now, lets hope the high bidder pays!

What is so funny, I'm so small time at this. I did buy a hobby case of it this year, but in the past, my two biggest buys was a Playoff Contenders box this year and a Goudey case from 2008. It was just good timing and luck.

slacknasty - not to be the police or anything, but you might want to add more to your item description since its pretty vague. I'm actually saying this to help you more so than the buyer, as when the card was first posted some were confused as to whether it is autographed or just the base card. You may want to add onto the item description stating its just the base card and not an auto, it would suck to see this get bid up fairly high and have the guy not pay or return the card because he didn't realize it was just a base RC and thought it was an auto...just my 2 cents
