Default Dodger GM says CC wants to be a Dodger

If the Yankees let CC sign elsewhere after letting Johan Santana sign with the Mets they will be in for a longgggggggggg season in the Bronx.

ESPN - GM: CC Sabathia says he would like to be on Los Angeles Dodgers

The Yankees aren't "letting" CC goes away, CC does not want to come to New York. What can they do?

Just like Maddux, just like Bonds, he cannot take the pressure of New York and is unwilling to go to New York. What can the Yankees do, throw another $20 million at it.....he still might not go, he doesn't want to come here and honestly I am happy....I don't want a pitcher who will work out for 3-4 years and then not be worth it. Look at the history of 7 year contract for pitchers and only 1 has worked out, Mussina. And even with Mussina's time with the Yankees he still had a couple off years. Plus CC has a 12+ ERA in the postseason....wow.

So that leaves who with the $ and the guts to sign him?

1) The Dodgers
2) The Angels
3) The Brewers
4) The Red Sox
5) The Braves?

The Dodgers want him and he wants the Dodgers, they have money and a very good young team for the most part
The Angels have a ton of money and he seems to like the West coast
The Brewers probably cant afford his demands
The Red Sox could go after him but why would he want to play in Boston and not NY so thats probably a no
The Braves probably wont spend the money

Winner - Dodgers or Angels but he likes to hit so that moves the Dodgers ahead

The Dodgers will sign Manny and CC.....wow that will be a big improvement.
Angels maybe.
Brewers probably
Red Sox worse chance then the Yankees.
Braves are going after Burnett.
So that leaves with the big 3 of Brewers, Dodgers and Angels.

Don't be too quick to rule out the Giants. I am sure that I will get hammered for this, but think about it for a second. They have a lot of money available, he could be part of what is becoming a real good rotation, he is from the area, has just built a house in the area, wants to pitch in the N.L. so he can hit, and he's a lefty so he has a shot at some "Splashdown" homers. Granted they have no offense to speak of, but that is hopefully changing soon.

Giants are looking to sign Pat Burrell to play LF or RF among several other players. They are def tired of being the doormat for the NL West

Hank Blalock is rumored to be going to the Giants, Randy Johnson is a FA, they already signed Renteria.
