Thanks...With all the moronic hype, I figured it might've gone for more than 25k.

Not quite moronic...he is seen as the best player scouts and former players have seen in years.

It was sold to an accountant who just got back in the hobby for $12,500 last year. They had a small article on it in Beckett.

I'm not saying he isnt a stud...hell, he might even be the best player since Pujols? A-rod? Griffey? But for these prices to be accurate, imagine what a 1/1 superfractor RC of Griffey would go for if he had one...

The market is implying that he's going to be not just a HOFer, but one of the best of all time.

How much would a Pujols superfractor go for? $50,000? What about Griffey...$75,000? Because if we're implying that $12,500-$25,000 (I know the card store owner whose store saw the Harper red 1/1 pulled this week, and it's being listed at $25k) is the "right" price for a guy without a single AA at-bat, we better be willing to pay multiples of that for players who are (already) all-time greats.

Again, I like the kid, and it's fun to see people driving to 15 Wal Marts to find some retail packs for a chance at a rookie of him, but cmon guys.
