need some help for my b-day present

ive been debating for the last 2 days lol on which case to get. id really like some help from you guys, as most of you guys know more about cases than i do. this will be my the first case break ive ever done , so id like to get as much imput as possible please, thanks

1) 2010 topps chrome 12 box case
2) 2007 ud black 6 box case
3) 2010 bowman platinum 6 box case
4) 2010 bowman chrome 12 box case

other possibilities are a cuople football cases like unrivaled or topps prime

i was thinking of goin with the ud black , since its got the most potential for a big hit, but from what ive seen alot of those cards come dinged up. any idea?

I'd probably stay away from the UD Black at this point just because of the possibility of expired redemptions and I think a lot of those cards can come out having a lot of chipping and rough edges and corners. I'd say the bowman platinum is probably the best bang for your buck.

2010 BDPP, which to me is the best baseball product in a long time. The 1st rounder auto checklist is unreal.

i wish i could afford the bdpp =( that case is way out of my range. i think ima go with the plat. thanks everyone

just buy boxes of BDP with the money you'd put towards the Platinum. that money in BDP is better spent than Platinum or BC, IMO.

last day for my decision lol , wow you guys wouldnt believe the work ive put myself through trying to pick a case. i musta watched over 20 hours of breaks. The reason im trying to keep it to a case and not get single boxs , is because ive never opened a case in my life and this was a gift. thanks for the input so far, but ive went back and forth so many times with these boxs i feel like im gonna explode lol. im 70% sure im goin with the black AT THIS TIME lol

Imo. I'd stay away from UD Black. Ripken, Griffey, and some Dice k's are all expired redemptions....As your first case I'd take the safer bet. Imagine pulling a nice Ripken jr. expired redemption. Not a good feeling.... I say Platinum or Topps Chrome. Good luck with your decision. Hope you pull something nice.

I opened a case of topps chrome a couple weeks ago and it was real fun. lots of color. 24 autographs from a great rookie class. either way, have fun!

Topps chrome for sure...Lotta people love Platinum here, but after busting 2 boxes, not a huge fan. Love Chrome parallels

the thing about topps chrome , is that if i wanted to sell some of the stuff. they sell for beans lol. unless u hit a red auto. god this is frustrating me now loll

Even with the expired redemptions I would pick UD Black as it is the highest end of all your choices. With this product you have the best chance of hitting a homerun and is more veteran focused (although you still get RPA's as well). As morint alluded to, by virtue of how the cards are desigend and packaged, a lot of them come out the box not looking gem mint, but I think it is an extremely fun product to break with the best possibility of hitting something big.
