According to this spreadsheet, there is less than 2,000 total cases produced! Thats some good odds to hit a big $$$ cut. Total cuts made 9,841!

By my count:

Multi-Player, Presidential, and Exquisite: 1975
Base and Black: 7866

Right at a 4:1 Ratio, so I would assume +/-1975 case made

Ken,

You nailed it right on the head! 1975 / 9841 is 20% or 1:5 packs.

Would anyone want to do a group break of this? Either a hit or draft break would work here I think. I think it could be fun. Let me know if there's any interest.

This isn't a good product to break as a group because it's one card per box. So for the price of a slot, somebody could just buy their own box and have the same odds of pulling the case hit.

The only way a group break would work is if it was a hit draft....but honestly, I'd rather buy a box and take my chances than do it in a group break

Based on the checklist there looks to be just under 500 total cards that should pay for a box (sell for $200+), so 1 in about 20 boxes will net you a "great" hit.

No way would I buy a single box of this stuff. Cause if somebody gets the case hit they will just sell off the remainder boxes..

Yeah but they could be giving away a lot of good hits that aren't really considered case hits. You could pull a Babe Ruth and it not really be considered the case hit.

Btw, can anyone explain how there's not an even number of cases? By my count there's one card that is not explained for...unless it's in a box by itself, or a case has six boxes or they are holding on to a few...

There are likely cards held back for replacements

Also consider that UD MAY have less cases with more than one "case hit". Meh, let's see some case breaks tomorrow and see how they go.

On a side note, anyone think case prices are going to jump with the checklist out and approximate case production determined?

The amount of cases available was not determined by case hits, you can add the total production run together because the checklist is done on excel , just highlight all and click the "Sum" button. You get 9981 total cards produced.

9981 total cards produced = 9981 total boxes produced/5 boxes per case = 1996 cases produced

Factoring in cards held back for replacements I'd say they have a total of 1975 or so cases out there.

Cases are still available on ebay for $1189.95

Based on the checklist, I don't see the case prices jumping much at all, but I could be wrong. There are some GREAT hits to be had, but the majority of boxes will yield $50 or less worth of value.

Based on my count, there are right around 450-500 hits that will net a box price or more.

Fun gamblers product, obviously not a rip and flip product but no one expected it to be.

About 1 in 4 cases will net a card worth $200 or more. Somewhere near 1 in 20 cases will net a card worth $750 or more.

I see the average break of this netting around $500 in sale value, not great but also not a huge risk for a chance at some incredible pulls!

not too surprising, I believe each year of legendary cuts has had around that many:

2008 SP Legendary Cuts Babe Ruth Cut Auto Autograph 7/8 | eBay

I'll definitely have to gamble on a couple boxes come friday.

I don't know. seems like for a little over $1000, you're going to get a bunch of Bob lemons and Fellers......a shitty proposition....I would rather wait till the good hits pop up on buy them direct....too many shitty cards to be had...IMHO

a litle late to the party, just got in on a case at 1125...not a big fan of presells, so I usually don't mind getting hit with a little extra $$ to ensure I don't get screwed or killed by tanking prices and also so my money isn't tied up for x amount of time...have been buying singles for a while now, the first case of anything in months, but this product is very appealing.

got my case in from my lcs...I'm pretty sure my case doesn't have a quad cut, etc...just because the case is so freaking light! My lcs opened his case up and each sealed box was light as well...never put them on a scale or anything but just holding them in my hand...I'm sure whomever gets the multi-cut cards will know immediately as they would be pretty heavy! Now do I break or just sit on them for a few years since there's no redemptions, lol.
