Default Sportlots

Looking to start selling many of my low to mid-end cards from the past. Would appreciate any input regarding your experiences with Sportlots. Have spent a few hours on the site and it looks simple. Also considering Naxcom and Bidville. Any other suggestions besides Ebay - can't afford the fees given the low price point. Thanks!

Well, the fees at sportlots are higher than the ones at eBay, but you can list the cards and forget about them until they sell. I think sportlots is your best bet.

I like both Naxcom and Sportlots. For me either one is hit or miss so I list items on both and hope they sell on Naxcom (the fees are a lot less than Sportlots).

The one gripe I have about sportlots is that they allow their big sellers to discount below the 18 minimum.

I can't sell cards at 18 when someone else is allowed to sell at 10.

Star users (which only requires sales of $25/month) are allowed to sell ONE product below 18 cents. The higher star levels might get to sell two or three, but that's it.

This does not give as much of an advantage as you would think. The best thing you can do is have a big inventory. People won't buy one card even if it is 10 cents, especially when they can buy the 12 they need from someone else. Shipping costs are such that it is still better to buy from whomever has the most of what you want on the site.

I fill all my sets using Sportslots.com (that is after I wheel and deal here). I imagine that is what most people use it for.
